In this document we will take a look at how we can schedule a background job to create outbound
deliveries for STOs using the delivery due list in SAP. (similar to delivery creation for sales orders) Typically
this is done using VL10B transaction and can be automated and scheduled as a batch job if the business
has a requirement for automation of the creation of STO deliveries.

Configuration Guide
There are few settings that are needed to be in place before scheduling a batch job for STO creation.

1. Define a List Profile for Shipping Due List

Transaction: VL10CUA

Select Profile 5002 and copy and create a new Z profile and make the below setting change.

Note this change is transportable

2. Create Deliveries in Background

Transaction: VL10BATCH

Create new Variant by providing a name in the below popup.

In the next popup select the highlighted option and proceed.

Navigate to Screen 7 using the next screen button and enter the Role defined previously.

This will adopt and default the values from the Role but you will be able to change certain parameters
on this screen as well.

Go back to Screen 1 where you can select any option from the General Data and Shipping point in the
below screen to filter the selection for STOs to be created.

In addition you can use selection parameter in Screen 4 as well.

Once this is complete, Save your variant.

Next, select your variant and click on Scheduling to schedule the job for a future time or you can select
Start Immediately to test your variant.

Select Schedule Periodically and choose how often you want the job to run.

You can go to Display Scheduling to view the status of you job.

Click on Log to display the Log.

Once the job is complete you should see that deliveries have been created for the STO if it did not
encounter any errors.
