Gas-Diesel ICE ( Internal Combustion
Engine )
4 Units, 8 hrs.- wk. ( 2 hrs. lec., 6 hrs lab per
week )
Study of operational principle of diesel and
gasoline, construction, nomenclatures of light
and heavy automotive vehicles power plant. It
includes Automotive Engine System such as; Fuel
System, both carbureted and EFI system, cooling
system and electrical system.
At the end of the course the students were
able to;
1. Know the Fundamentals of internal
combustion engine.
2. Identify the Engine Parts and function.
3. Know the Principle of Operation.
4. Know the Construction, Function and
Operation of engine Auxiliary system.

Basic Automotive Electricity

Study of electricity, magnetism, Ohms law,
power law, series and parallel circuit. Electronics
and semiconductors devices, electrical circuit
components, symbols, wiring diagrams basic
electrical diagnosis and testing. Principles,
