May 23, 2016

GM Roy Merro
Abuyog Water District
Abuyog, Leyte

Dear GM Merro:
In its continuing efforts to contribute to build capacity for climate resiliency, the
protection of lives, livelihood, and property of every Filipino through weather and
climate information and services, the USAID Water Security for Resilient Economic
Growth and Stability (Be Secure) Project in partnership with the
Philippine
Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) will
conduct a Forum to present the latest El Nio Update and the first La Nina
Watch on May 27, 2016 at the DILG Training Center in Tacloban City from 9:00 AM
to 12:00 NN.
A climate scientist from PAGASA will discuss the latest information on the El Nio
status and their initial La Nina advisory. This will hopefully help everyone prepare
for the forthcoming rainy season. In this connection, we are inviting you or your
representative to join us for the Forum.
Mr. Alfonso Cadigoy, our provincial coordinator, will coordinate with your office for
the details of this invitation. He may also be contacted at mobile numbers 09177129614 or email alfonso.cadigoy@besecure.ph.
Thank you and we look forward to your favourable response.
Sincerely,
Mona Grieser
