What is the ASEAN-ROK

Cooperation Fund?

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)

and the Republic of Korea (ROK) established its dialogue
partnership in 1989. Building upon this partnership
in 1990, the purpose of launching the fund was to enhance
the ASEAN-ROK relations by implementing
various development cooperation projects which includes

Increased volume in budget calls the need to develop the funding mechanism
to be more efficient with an avid focus on certain areas of cooperation.
While current funding mechanism focuses on one-off events, the new approach
will concentrate on designing more efficient and institutional projects.
