D.M.C. Crochet Cotton Sample Card (in separate envelope)

page fold out, in paper pocket.

These are all in excellent condition. The last is a truly beautiful thing. I have been unable to
find much comparable on the web but my gut feeling is that this should be worth at least 30
as a single lot.
Tobralco Book with letter to Auntie Dorothy dated 6th May 1931. This is an art deco gem. It
basically tells the story of Tobralco with a collection of swatches on the centre pages. Again I
cannot find this on the web but my gut feeling is at least 20
Patons Colour Ranges for 1968-69. Wool Sample book. Cover stained and corners
damaged but contents are in pretty good nick with the exception some internal staining to
the centre pages. Patons appear to still be going. Im guessing there is not a lot of value to
this, maybe 5 if we were lucky.
Two of Milgola Autumn Woollies 1934. These appear to be catalogues of woollen wear for
children. A quick search reveals absolutely nothing on this company. No idea of value but
suspect it is not much.
The Easy Way Crochet and Embroidery Book. (Womans Own supplement). No Value.
The Crosmil Plait. I have to be honest and say I have no idea. Would guess it was a sort of

the front.
Three fabric colour samples. ??????. No value.
Patons Quickknit Botony Shade Range sample card. Good condition. No realisable value.

With letter to Miss D Walker dated 25th October 1935. Maybe 10 if we are lucky. Some of
these letters and this on in particular are on lovely company paper and may be collectable in
their own right.

exist as a company. Maybe 5.00.

Rathonia Fabric swatch card. Anlaby fabric fadeless. With a letter to Mr Walker dated
14/02/1936 and a hand written wholesale price. May be worth a few pounds to somebody
but I can find nothing about it on the web.

card, Anchor Flox Skeins color card, Mercer Crochet fast colors color card by J. & P.
Coats. With the exception of the last which is creased and slightly damaged, these are all in
excellent condition. They are in the original envelope with a Glasgow post mark of the
correct date. As a lot I would guess 20-30.
Envelope (original) containing a letter to Miss D Walker from Peri-Lusta dated 25th Oct 1935
and Peri-Lustra Gobelins tapestries flyer/price list, 2 Embroidery patterns (Oriental Parrot
Design an Abowl of marigolds design) and a Peri-Lusta Crochet Sample Card. About 10 as
a lot may be.

vibrant. May be 5.

1918Not in brilliant condition but could be restored. Also a price list updated by hand in 1922
and another from 1918 plus two set instructions for making womans gloves and one set
instruction for making childrens socks. Maybe 10.
Eleven Religious Hanging phrase card, these look brand new. 13 religious pictures with
stories below. No idea of value on these but I dont think it would be much.
The Viola oil paint decorations presented with My Home in original packet. These seem to
be transfers presumably to go on painted furniture. Creased but otherwise good.
3 Knitters Circle News November 1956 to October 1957 Nos. 24, 26 and 30. No idea of
value but in quite good condition. Each is four pages long.

Two Nylon (?) fabric colour cards. Small and damaged, no idea of maker probably not much
value in these.
Trimstitch (J & P Coats) Small Booklet. No idea of date but guessing late 40s to 50s. Some
quite nice illustrations. Little value I expect.
Dorcas Lingerie Fabrics Colour card from McIlroy Ltd of High Wycombe has a three figure
phone number so I would guess at this being 1930s. Nice little thing in very good condition.
Maybe worth 5.
Dorcas permanent Cambric, Lawn and Raydiante colour card from Selfridge & Co of Oxford
Street London. Contains two loose swatches. As above but may be slightly earlier. Nice little
thing in very good condition. Maybe worth 5.

leaflet. No idea of date. Good condition. No real value.
Letter to Auntie Dorothy from John Mackie (Dundee) dated 18th March 1931 including a
swatch of Dundonia embroidery cloth and embroidery patterns on tissue paper. Only a
small value I would have thought.
Two part pages cut from a book/magazine. No value.
Old Bleach linen Co ltd. Letter and sample cards (Three) and a list of stockists. Plus lace
mounting note and advert for The Embroideress. Not dated but would guess 1930s again.
Six pages of transfer designs by Weldons. These are a sort of catalogue of designs not the
designs themselves. From the subject matter and style I would guess they are from just after
WWI. Good condition but no idea of value.
