ABSTRACT

This project is a fingerprint-based multibiometric cryptosystem (MBC). Compared

with traditional authentication techniques, biometric-based techniques offer more universal
and reliable option for individuals authentication. However, widespread applications of
biometrics have brought about new security challenges on how to protect biometric
templates effectively, which requires that helper data does not reveal significant information
about the templates. Biometric cryptosystems basically a, biometric protection technique
which provide an innovative solution for cryptographic key generation, encryption as well as
biometric template protection. This project uses fingerprints from multiple fingers for
cryptographic key generation. To ensure the security uses information-theoretic approach
with computational security.
