Weeks 1-5: Faculty Feedback by-Carrie McLellan 5/2/15
Weeks 1-5: You have been present and punctual for lab and all but 2 clinical days pleasant and engaged in the learning process . You are beginning to be able to give an
accurate verbal report however this still needs to be more organized and succinct. You are developing professionalism in communication and demeanour and are
beginning to work within the interprofessional health care team and contribute positively to patient care. You demonstrate respect to your colleagues and patients and
work within the scope of practice of the student rpn. Level of voice during conversation needs to be lowered and kept professional in demeanour as we discussed.
You are able to provide care independently for 1 patient at this time , complete an accurate head to toe assessment (were reminded to listen to lungs posteriorly) and give
medications safely according to CNO and Agency Protocol. In addition you are able to discuss the reason for each medication your patient is receiving , last site of
administration and potential adverse effects. You are able to use technology safely and accurately to document patient condition, obtain history and lab results, orders
and administer medications.
You are able to safely care for a patient in an isolation room and deliver kind, holistic and compassionate care, proving privacy as necessary and ensuring the patient is
informed as a partner in care. Please ensure that you know your patients abnormal lab results and what the normal values are.

You are off to a great start! Good work.
