Howard Outreach
Our outreach week at Howard as incredible! We put up a sign on
Tuesday that said ‘What is Sin’ and had people come write their
opinion giving them candy and a flyer for our meeting on Friday.
Wednesday the sign asked ‘What is Grace’ and we also had a few
Soularium stations up where students can explain their life to us
using pictures to answer questions. Thursday we asked ‘What is
Love’, and had music and a dance party in the garden by the sign.
The students were very interested in what we were doing and in
learning about true love. The week culminated with a talk given by
Dan on Friday. He spoke about how the greatest act of love is to
lay down your life for a friend and how Christ suffered doing that
for us on the cross; so that we may forgiven by grace alone and
spend eternity with Him. We had about 150 students show up, so
many that some had to be turned away at the door because the room was
packed like sardines and nobody else could fit. We passed out response cards and received 110 back from
people wanting more information on Christ, 90 wanting to be involved in bible studies, and anywhere
from 40+ people indicating decisions for Christ. The next week consisted of our following up with these
students and that time was just as fruitful! We saw another 6 people decide
to place their trust in Christ for their salvation as we followed
up. God is doing something big right now on this campus!

UBUNTU : It’s Harvest Time! We

brought students from Westville to our National conference
Ubuntu. The students had a great time uniting with other
campuses and getting excited about what God is doing in their
country. Our students got fired up and decided to make more
of an effort to reach their campus. We also had a day to go out
sharing in the township. This was an awesome opportunity to
show students what it meant to share their faith. We went
sharing in pairs of two, and had around 23 pairs. In an hour of
outreach close to 60 people decided to follow Christ. I went out
with a high school girl from the church we partnered with. We
had 3 women decide to follow Christ, but what was more
exciting for me was that the girl I went out with, Princess,
began the hour not knowing how to share her faith, but by the
end she loved nothing more than having a real conversation
with a stranger about the love of Christ.
