HOW TO APPLY FOR A SPANISH STUDENT VISA IN THE PHILIPPINES


Successful candidates for the Language Assistantships Programme are eligible for a STUDENT
VISA. This means that the post as language assistant is regarded as a scholarship and, for
administrative reasons, it is considered as continuation of University studies.
Once you have received an official notification of having been selected for the vacancy, you need
to apply for a Spanish Visa at the nearest Spanish Consulate. Please, check the list of Spanish
Consulates below who can provide the requirements as detailed in order to obtain a Spanish
Visa. Please note these requirements are subject to change without prior notice.
REQUIREMENTS
Passport (minimum validity equal to period of stay) and at least two blank pages;
Application form duly completed and signed with two photographs;
Flight itinerary or a copy of tickets with confirmed return flights;
Letter from the School/Association/Institution detailing period & conditions of agreement
including medical insurance coverage;
Adequate proof of financial means of support.
For long term stay, more than 180 days:
Medical Certificate stating that the Applicant does not suffer from any illness or disease
that can constitute a public health risk as stipulated in the International
Health regulation of 2005, and is fit to travel.
Phillipines wide national name check/police record.

Your application has to be lodged with the Spanish Consulate General in Manila once your PROFEX
application has been finished and approved by the Spanish Education Office in the Philippines.
