Matlab Installation In Linux
1. Make an entry of cclicserver.iitm.ac.in in your vi /etc/hosts
a. Logging as a root and
b. Add the last line as below,
10.24.0.171cclicserver.iitm.ac.in leo
2. Go to the path were matlab is downloaded (or)If installtion is through CD/DVD come out of
/media/MATHWORKSRVersion and be in some other path and give
3. #sh INSTALL
4. When installtion key is needed , get the installtion key from the
ftp://ccftp.iitm.ac.in/downloads/softwares/Matlab/ ( Depending on the version of MATLAB used )
5. Then copy the license.dat file from the ftp site said and paste it in a file and place in some path. When
license file is requested during installation browse and give the license.dat file (depending on the
MATLAB version used)
6. Then give next!next!
7. Installtion gets completed

Matlab Installation In Windows XP and Windows-7

1. Make an entry of cclicserver.iitm.ac.in in your C://Windows/System32/Drivers/etc/hosts
a. Windows-7 Open a notepad Using Run as Administrator Option and
b. Go to File->Open->C://Windows/System32/Drivers/etc/hosts and add the last line as
10.24.0.171cclicserver.iitm.ac.in leo
2. Run the setup file for Matlab.
3. When installtion key is needed , get the installtion key from the
ftp://ccftp.iitm.ac.in/downloads/softwares/Matlab/ . Then copy the license.dat file from the ftp site and
paste it in a file and place in some path. When license file is requested during installation browse and
give the license.dat file Then give next!next!
4. Installtion gets completed
