Consult the full text of republic act 8293, in your own words answer the
following question.
A. What are the limitations on copyright?
According to the Law on copyright IP CODE Republic Act No. 8293, There are 7
limitations on copyright The 1st one is the CEAVET, where the previsions of
the section shall be interpreted in such a way do to allow the work to be used
in a manner which does not conflict with the normal exploitation of the work
and does not unreasonably prejudice the right holders legitimate interest
(Section 184.2), Next is the fair use of a copyright work that explains in the
Section 185.1, The third one is the private reproduction of published work
explains on Section 187.1. The fourth one is the CEVEAT the permission
granted under subsection 187.1, shall not extend to the reproduction. The fifth
one is the Reprographic reproduction by libraries explains on Section 188.1,
The Sixth one is the CEVEAT , that explains on Sec 13.P.D.49a Section 88.2
And the last one is the Reproduction Of computer program that explains on
Section 189.1.
B. Why does the Law limit copyright?
The Law limit copyright because the law has always recognize the need to
balance the rights of the copyright holder with the good of the public and
provisions in the law, though copyright law provides a creator with several
critical and powerful rights over their works.
C. What are the economic rights of authors, prescribed in Law?
By the law, Copyright owners have the exclusive to authorize or prohibit any of
the following acts relation to their works .Copying (reproducing) the work in
any way, Distributing copies of the work to the public, Performers, showing or
playing the work in public, Broadcasting the work or the communication to the
public by electronic transmission, And Making an adaption of the work by
making changes to the original work, for example by changing lyrics.
