Milestone achievement for Wolf Blass

By MONIKA SINGH of The Fiji Times
THE sole distributor of the award-winning Australian wine, Wolf
Blass, has congratulated the company on being named the Red Winemaker of the Year at the prestigious International Wine Challenge in
London last month.
Motibhai Group is the sole distributor of the wine in Fiji and executive director Bhupendra Patel said it was a milestone achievement for
the winemaker.
Mr Patel said it was a proud moment for Motibhai Group to be the
sole distributors of the brand in Fiji as Wolf Blass's first export was to
Fiji in the early 70s.
He said the brand had grown from strength to strength and now
under the Treasury Wine Estates, it was creating waves in the wine
industry.
A statement from the Treasury Wine Estates said the award this
week was a triple treat for Wolf Blass, being awarded this accolade for
the third time after wins in 2008 and 2013.
It said in its 33rd year, the International Wine Challenge (IWC) was
recognised as one of the world's finest, most meticulously judged and
influential wine competitions.
"Wolf Blass came out on top ahead of 15,000 entries from more
than 50 countries, demonstrating their strength and consistency of
winemaking across wine styles."
Wolf Blass chief winemaker, Chris Hatcher, was humbled to receive the award for the third time on behalf of the winery.

"It is a great triumph for Wolf Blass, reinforcing our reputation as

You may find many brands of margarines in the market these days.
However, when it comes to taste, value for money and a healthy choice,
there is only one name which comes to the fore and it is none other
than Marigold Margarine.
Over the recent years, Marigold Margarine has become very popular
amongst Fijians all over the country, Motibhai Group marketing
manager Abraham Gomes said.
He said Marigold Margarine is a canola based polyunsaturated spread
and a healthier choice in comparison to other brands and even butter.
Manufactured by Fiji Foods Limited a fully owned subsidiary of
Motibhai Group, Marigold Margarine is manufactured using pure
vegetable oils and comes in a convenient 500 gram pack. With the
new and improved formula, Marigold Margarine tastes even better
and is very easily spread on your food, Mr Gomes added.
He said while there are many brands of margarines out in the market,
Marigold Margarine is the best value for money.
Those customers who have not tried Marigold Margarine yet will be
hooked onto it as soon as they use it for the first time.
Apart from using Marigold Margarine as a spread with your bread
and biscuits, it is ideal as an ingredient for cooking and baking as
well.
For a health conscious family, margarine spreads are a double bonus
as margarine is normally half the price or even lesser when compared to butter.
Marigold Margarine is distributed Fiji-wide by Motibhai Group
bringing quality products for you and your family.

against cancer in the country.
Fiji Cancer Society administrator, Belinda Chan said she is
excited with the launch this year
as it sets the platform for the first
major fundraising campaign to
fight cancer.
We are definitely moving in
the right direction and the timing is perfect to launch this years
first fundraising campaign, Ms
Chan said.
According to Ms Chan, the
society has identified a few projects which will be initiated with
the funds raised from this years

BFBMT.
We are very grateful to Motibhai Group for being one of our
key partners for a decade now as
funds raised from the event goes
to creating awareness and has
also directly supported hundreds
of cancer patients over the years,
Ms Chan added.
She said a lot of work has already begun as the Fiji Cancer
Society in partnership with the
Ministry of Health has been creating awareness and screening
people.
Our aim this year is to visit
and screen all garment factory
workers in the country, including
men and women.
Early detection is very crucial
in saving lives and I urge people
to change their mindsets and talk
about cancer. Talk to your family,

no longer treated as a taboo issue
in the country.
Every cup of tea counts in
our battle against cancer and on
behalf of the society, I encourage all business houses to join
hands with us and host a BFBMT
in their offices as we intend to
wrap up the initiative by the end
of September giving everyone
enough time to play their part as
well, Ms Chan said.
Motibhai Group marketing
manager Abraham Gomes who
shared similar sentiments says

the company has been actively

organizations for decades as part
of their corporate social responsibility.
We also have charity boxes
placed in our shops and restaurants and all the money collected
goes to Fiji Cancer Society, he
added.

something back to the community for the betterment of everyone

Support vital for patients says cancer survivor

By CHARLENE LANYON of The Fiji Times
BREAST cancer survivor Emele Duwai believes the support she
received from family and friends contributed to her confidence and
recovery from cancer.
Ms Duwai, 69, who was cleared of cancer since December last year,
said help from business houses and organisations ensured cancer patients and survivors received the treatment, attention and support they
deserved. Ms Duwai shared her survivor experience at the launch of
the tenth Bushells Fiji's Biggest Morning Tea campaign in Suva on
Friday, July 15.
Fiji Cancer Society chariman Phillip Low said cancer was the third
leading cause of death in Fiji, with more than 1200 new cases recorded
yearly.
"This figure is on the rise mainly because of late detection or lack of
awareness and knowledge," Mr Low said.
Motibhai Group marketing manager Abraham Gomes said the company was honoured to partner the Fiji Cancer Society to raise funds
and awareness.
"This morning tea campaign runs until September 30, but that does
not mean we should stop there," Mr Gomes said.

Coaching is vital for success in all aspects of business

Motibhai Group management staff Sanjay Kumar and Wastika Chandra who attended the 2016 National Trainers Conference at Tanoa International Hotel from July 7-8 have returned with a wealth of knowledge. With the theme - Change-Challenge-Opportunity, the two day conference was facilitated by FNU
A learning Organisation is basically one that encourages everyone
within the organization the need to continue to upgrade their skills and
knowledge. We are grateful to the Motibhai Group for giving us an opportunity to partake in 2016 National Trainers Conference held by Fiji
National University.
The speakers spoke on various topics and we will focus on Adaptability, Initiative and Executive Coaching.
It is known that in any organization which has a desire to grow, the
process of change will keep happening on an ongoing basis. Having
said this the true and real change that the company wants to see or
expects to see in the people is the change in their attitude. They expect
that their employee understands why the changes are being made and
how it could positively impact growth of the organization as a whole
as well how these changes can affect individuals at their workplace.
As they say, It is not your APTITUDE, but your ATTITUDE that
takes you to the higher ALTITUDE of success.
Another important thing is our INITIATIVE towards the work
we do. If you want to speed towards success then remember one fundamental thing, DONT WAIT FOR THINGS TO HAPPEN, MAKE
THINGS HAPPEN. What this means is that you must develop the
attitude of being PROACTIVE and not REACTIVE. People who are
proactive are those who actually feel the urgency about a situation and

immediately TAKE INITIATIVE. They are the ones who take action
and always therefore looked at as the best and ACTIVE leaders.
Executive coaching gives business a way of developing senior staff
in a cost-effective and timely manner. Coaching sessions enables the
staff to concentrate on the issues that are most critical to our performance without the need of extensive training. If we look at sports
teams, theres no world-beating side in any sport that doesnt make
use of coaching. Lets take example of our Fiji Rugby Sevens Team
and their preparation to Rio Olympic is much dependent on the coach
Ben Ryan. Its not that the players are not talented but they need coaching and motivation. Its because a coach can help them see a bigger
picture, that of the team, and focus their efforts on what really matters
to become great. In todays competitive business environment we all
need coaching to stay at the top of our game.
Finally it is important for us to make learning and upskilling ourselves a continuous process. Remember that productive communication is a two way street. In organization like ours if human capital
is thriving, developing new skills and are being recognized for our
achievements it showcases our ability to move to greatness. By encouraging staff to develop the skills and move into new opportunities
the Motibhai Group no doubt is demonstrating its commitment to our
careers and establishing our leadership capabilities.
