Loading ol plane started at 8:15AM
At approx g:26AM, it was noticed that one of the horses that had been loaded onto tho plane had gone down. Shortly after that,
anoih-er horse, not yet on the plane, was also noticed to have gone down. These two crates were brought to the airpo( barns
be unloaded and have the horses assessed. Eoth horses were able to rise on their own. One appeared immediately fit for
nsportation, whiie the other appeared to have a sore left hind leg" During this time, orre of the operators of a TUG loader
heard a ioud bang in a third crate. He checked tie craie and found two horses had gone down. This crate lYas also broughl to
the barn to be unioaded. Once the two still-standing horses were out, one oi the two downbd horses rose on ils awn and exited
iwas found to be
crate. This horse was observed and appeared fit for transport. The other downed hcrse
was calle.d in to assess the dead horse and the horse with the
dead with no visible trauma. CFIA Veterinarian
assessed the latter to be fit fcr transport.
