Shining
Bright
The spring/summer styles for men are bold
and bright. And many designers are facing
eastward this time around. The red, gold and
dragon motifs of the Chinese have become the
talk of the crowd, with the cultures aesthetic
heritage being implemented in many of the
designers collections.
From the cheerful elements of the garden to
colourful palette, bright motifs are the highlight
this season. Common elements from previous
trends in womenswear are now adapted for
menswear, from dressing in pyjamas to wearing
jumpsuits and wide-leg pants.
The occasional rainy days of the summer calls
for stylish anoraks, while the warm weather calls
for shorter shorts, baggy pants and comfortable,
thin materials like silk. Designers have also taken
cues from the likes of steven Tyler, embracing
long, lean scarves to cover the neck from the
summer wind while creating a statement.

Anything

LOUIS VUITTON

FENDI

Designers have paiD attention to details for

spring/summer, creating outits that are
anything but basic. simple white shirts are
revamped this season with endless creativity.
small details such as rules, pleats and fringes
make appearances in many of the designers
creations, creating volume for the silhouette.
Metallic fabrics and glittery sequins are also
used in many of the collections, to add a highshine inish.
shoulders and arms are the body parts to
focus on this season. as the weather gets
warmer, designers have chosen to bare a little
skin, and this time it is all on the shoulder.
inspired by an Old english trend, arms are also
pumped up with extra volume.
Brought forward from the last season is the
trend of slip dresses, which are taken out of the
bedrooms for a stylish daywear. The classic
dressing from the victorian era is also making
its comeback, which are given a modern touch
this season.
