Haze does not only affect peoples health but also the environment in many
ways. It has an effect on crop yields and migratory birds.
According to farmers, growth of new buds has lessened and therefore there
are fewer fruits at the end of the harvest season. When less light reaches the fruit
plants, the rate of photosynthesis also reduces. This causes plants to bear less fruits.
