Main new things I have learned in the second week of this
class are rhetorical knowledge and knowledge of conventions. I
learned rhetorical knowledge to identify and apply strategies across a
range of texts and writing situations and to learn rhetorical
knowledge what I did are reading chapter 2 Says Who? The Writers
Authority, the Writers Voice, answered apply knowledge questions
and made a two paragraph essay which was based on reading and
watching a videos. I used rhetorical knowledge to adapt the contents
of reading to my inquire assignment. (table 1) To understand
rhetorical knowledge, during my reading, I especially care of the
purpose of author in the article.

Table 1

I have studied knowledge of conventions to define genres,

and in so doing, shape readers and writers expectations of
correctness or appropriateness. To learn knowledge of conventions
what I did are reading Navigating Genres and did inquiry proposal
assignment. I found Navigating Genres uses one skill of knowledge
of conventions. Basically the article did not have any multimodality so
instead of that, the article is using space for key word efficiently.
(table 3) To learn knowledge of conventions I care of the format of the
article and I also care of format for my wiring because format is one of
the skill to make my writing clear and sophisticated. (Table2)

context and purpose during reading. I would like to care of those
things I mentioned above until I get used to use knowledge of
conventions and rhetorical knowledge.
