ATTENTION ALL MEN AND WOMEN!

Come Join Us for a Pilgrimage to Chicago on Wednesday, September 28, 2016,
where you will discover new heights of beauty and explore the sacred in an
enjoyable and memorable day trip.
Catholic Church Tours will provide us access to three different Catholic
Churches in the Chicago area. Their experienced guides make these
architectural beauties easily accessible and understandable. It is an experience

St. Alphonsus Church

The cost of this Pilgrimage, which includes bus transport, snacks, buffet lunch,

6:45 am Meet in St. Bede Parking Lot
7:00 am Motorcoach will depart from St. Bede Parking Lot
8:30 am St Alphonsus Mass and Tour. St. Alphonsus is a soaring Gothic Church with world class stained
glass and a thriving congregation. Our very own Fr. Shawn Gould will participate in saying Mass for us. Fr.
Shawn was previously the Associate Pastor at St. Alphonsus and has much knowledge about this church.
Elevator available.
10:15 am St. Mary of the Angels. Listed as one of the top 12 Most Beautiful Churches in America to visit by
Fox News in 2013. The structure bears a remarkable resemblance to St. Peters Basilica in Rome. It has been
acclaimed as one of the finest specimens of Roman Renaissance architecture in the United States. Chair lift
available.
11:15 am Lunch. The Red Apple Buffet at 3121 N Milwaukee with Award Winning Authentic Polish Cuisine.
12:45 pm Basilica of St. Hyacinth. This Basilica has the Jubilee Holy Doors for the Year of Mercy and was
visited by St. John Paul II and Polish Presidents, and designated by the Vatican as a Minor Basilica. Ramp
available.

PILGRIM VIRGIN Sponsored by the Legion of Mary

The Legion of Mary has a Pilgrim Virgin statue, in the image of Our Lady of Fatima, that
visits a home for a week and then is moved to the next home. The hosting family is encouraged to
pray the Rosary and/or other prayers each day in the presence of this image. Families may also
want to invite other family members and their neighbors to pray with them.
We are seeking families that would like to welcome Our Lady into their homes through
this special ministry. We are setting up our schedule for the coming Fall/Winter months, dates are
available starting in September, 2016. Should you want to host the Pilgrim Virgin in your home
for a week or if you have questions concerning this devotion, please contact Carol Stitt at
(847)231-2413. Visits usually begin and end on Saturdays but we can accommodate for special
needs.
This ministry has proven to be a powerful tool in spreading Our Lady of Fatimas plea to
pray the Rosary.and it is working!!
La Legin de Mara tiene una estatua de la Virgen Peregrina, en la imagen de Nuestra Seora de Ftima, que
visita una casa durante una semana y luego se mueve a la siguiente casa. La familia de alojamiento es alentado a rezar el
Rosario y/u otras oraciones cada da en la presencia de esta imagen. Las familias tambin pueden invitar a otros
miembros de la familia y sus vecinos a rezar con ellos.
Estamos buscando familias que quisieran darle la "bienvenida" a la Virgen en sus hogares a travs de este
ministerio especial. Estamos estableciendo nuestro calendario para el prximo otoo/invierno, fechas estn disponibles
a partir de septiembre de 2016. Si usted desea acoger la Virgen peregrina en su casa por una semana, o si usted tiene

comienzan y terminan los sbados pero podemos acomodar necesidades especiales.

Thank you for your help, support, and prayers during my first year as principal at St. Joseph School. It is a
blessing to be a part of the school that I call family.
As you know, being principal comes with a variety of challenges. My daily goal is finding the solutions
that are best for the school and our students. Many of my decisions for the future of St. Joseph School calls
each of us to strive higher and step out of our comfort zones.
As the first day of school approaches quickly, I wanted to inform you that I have asked Kathy Fawley to
serve as my assistant principal, and she has graciously accepted. She will be overseeing and managing the
testing and assessment of students including classroom tools, RTI, MAP, and ACT Aspire testing, as well as
additional administrative tasks. I appreciate Kathys commitment to the students, families and staff and thank
her for her willingness to take on these additional responsibilities in service to St. Joseph School.
