Teachers with Additional Expertise or Program Completion


Teachers who have an CDE/LDE endorsement or a Masters/PhD with an ELL focus must apply for an ELA training waiver by submitting their unofficial
transcripts to ELA_waiverrequest@dpsk12.org (Takes 10 business days to process transcripts). All teachers will need to complete the following ELA courses:
o ELA 101 (1 hour online course)
o ELA 103: Denver ELA Program (3.5 hour face-to-face course)
ELA Summer Academy: ELA-T Basic Training (Summer Academy apprentice teachers who have completed ELA Summer Academy have completed ELA 101, ELA 102, ELA 103
Denver ELA Program, ELA 104 Academic Language in the Content Areas, ELA 105A English Language Development and are ELA-T qualified.)
