Fuseholders with 2 EPBI insulators

Raychem EPBI insulators for medium voltage
overhead line fuseholders give the customer
the benefit of a lightweight construction without the need to compromise on reliability or
long-term performance. The EPBI insulators
are based on a high-strength engineering polymeric core, covered by a polymeric shedded
insulation. This high-voltage insulation is bonded to the core, forming an excellent environmental seal.
The insulators have sufficient creepage to
operate in heavily polluted environments, up to
and including Pollution Class 4 as defined in
IEC 815. For further information, please refer to
the datasheets EPBI 2000-VL 205 and EPBI
2000-VL 305, respectively for voltages up to
12 kV and for voltages up to 24 kV.

HDA Surge Arrester

Fuseholders with an EPBI insulator

and a surge arrester
A viable alternative for system voltages up to
24 kV is a fuseholder consisting of a Raychem
surge arrester (HDA) plus an EPBI insulator.
Due to its high mechanical strength, the
Raychem surge arrester can also function as a
supporting element in the fuseholder design.
Consult the data sheets for Raychem HDA
arresters to select the right surge arrester for
the operating network conditions.
