Thecoursewilluseavarietyofinstructionalmethodsincludingdemonstrations,inquirybasedlabs,lecture,mathematical

1.A3ringbinder.Youmaysharethisbinderwithotherclasses,butyouwillneedtodedicateatleast1.5inchesof
binderspacetoPhysicalScience,sobeawareofthiswhenplanningyoursuppliesforthesemester.

2.Pencilsand/orpens.Eitherisfineforcompletingassignments,aslongasyourhandwritingislegible.Ifyouchoose
towriteinpens,pleaseuseaprofessionalcolorofink(blue,black,orthelike).

3.Coloredpencils.Iwillprovideyouwithasetoftwelvecoloredpencilstousewhileinclassbutifyouwouldliketo
useyourownthatisfine.

During class, students are expected to work independently and participate in group activities, conduct

laboratory investigationsandwritereportssummarizing thoseinvestigations, completereviewworksheetsandquestions


from the textbook, complete activities using the internet,participatein classdiscussions, and listen to lectures and take
writtennotesonnewtopics.Studentswillalsotakequizzesandtests.

Each writtenassignment(lab report,activity,worksheet,questionsfromthetextbook,lecturenotes,etc.) isgivenanEntry
