Application
Overvoltage protection for metal-clad, contact proof medium voltage switchgears. Especially recommended to reduce overvoltages caused by
switching activities.
Advantages
POLIM-D..PI-2 and POLIM-D..PI-3 are arresters designed to be used in MV metal-clad, gas insulated switchgears (GIS). The arrester is applicable for inner cone
systems according to DIN EN 50181 and DIN 47637. The arrester is available in cone size 2 or 3.
POLIM-D..PI-2 and POLIM-D..PI-3
- fulfil the requirements stated in IEC 60099-4. Type test reports are available upon request.
- are maintenance free under normal operation.
- consist of ZnO varistors, which gives optimal protection against dangerous overvoltages in the network. The varistors are direct moulded with silicone rubber, a
material chosen for its excellent isolation properties, and enclosed in a housing made of aluminium.
- ensure easy and simple handling and mounting at site. No special instruments are required for installation.
