ALL WORK MUST BE SHOWN

on EVERY assignment to receive
full credit. Expectations for the
way work should be shown will be
covered in class.

Daily Grades:
Daily grades will consist of skill
checks, in-class assignments,
activities, and homework. Daily
grade assignments will not be
accepted late.

Independent Practice:
Students are required to
complete some type of
independent practice for each
lesson. The purpose of these
assignments is to provide
students with opportunities to
practice and review concepts
learned. These assignments may
be assigned and completed during
class time or they may be
assigned as homework. These
assignments are very
instrumental to students
because they will know whether
they understand the material if
they can complete it by
themselves.

Failure to complete assignments

will result in consequences.

Minor Grades:
Minor grades will consist of
quiz grades but could include
quizzes that might cover
more than one concept,
warm-ups, etc. Miss
Ashmore will announce these
in class as well as listing
scheduled quizzes on the
grading period calendar.
There will be at least 2 quiz
grades per marking period.

Major Grades:
Major grades will consist of
tests and projects. The
tests are listed on each
marking period calendar.
There will be at least 1 test
per grading period. If a
student is absent ONLY on a
review day, the student will
be expected to take the test
on the regularly scheduled
test day.

Re-Assessment Policy:
All students will be provided
the opportunity (and
encouraged) to re-test any
test that a student has
scored an 84 or below on
originally. In order to take
the re-test, students must
first complete test
corrections (this serves as a

remediation and aides in

preparation for the retest).
The corrections must be
completed in entirety prior
to taking the re-test. The
re-test grade will replace
the test grade (if the
student scores above the
original grade) for a
maximum grade of an 85.
Both the test corrections
and re-test are to be
completed within the 5
day window after receiving
the original test back in
class. Retest times need to
be arranged with your
teacher.

Make-up Test and

Quizzes:
If a student misses a quiz
or test due to an absence,
he/she must make
arrangements to complete
the assignment within two
make-up dates. Make-up
Dates are every Wednesday
morning (7:50-8:50am) and
afternoon (4:15-5:15pm) in
Rm D122, unless otherwise
arranged with your teacher.
*There will be Extra Credit
Opportunities throughout
the year but will NOT be
accepted past their due
dates.

We use TI-84 Plus in class. These calculators
are to remain in the classroom all the time. You
may download a TI calculator emulator (with
similar functions) for home use. Instruction to
download the apps is posted on the course
