Technology at St. Joseph School

La Tecnologa En La Escuela San Jos

Technology is in the hands and pockets of almost

every student and teacher. Students have constant
opportuni es to make good choices when surfing the web
and selec ng games and apps. Devices come in many
dierent sizes and are used for various tasks.
As the students are welcomed back into the
classroom, they will be using technology o en. The
computer is more than a tool used to type assignments or
to look up answers for homework. St. Joseph teachers
integrate technology into their lessons. One of the
programs the students and teachers will use is Edmodo.
This program resembles Facebook, but the community is
safe for our students. They will share comments between
their group members, remind each other of upcoming
events, and encourage and support each others learning.
Teachers and students communicate using Edmodo where
the focus is educa on. A benefit for teachers is the ability
to join professional communi es and even create small
groups.
If you ask the Summer Boot Camp students about
technology, they will tell you that they like to use Quizlet
Live. This program allows the students to prac ce
vocabulary words either alone or with a group. When we
play the Live version in class, the program randomly places
students on a team where they work together to
successfully solve their tasks. The teachers really enjoy
watching the posi ve interac on with Quizlet. There are
many posi ve ways to implement technology into the
classroom.

pero la comunidad es segura para nuestros estudiantes.

aproximan, y alentar y apoyar el aprendizaje de cada uno
de los dems. Los estudiantes y maestros se comunicaran

comunidades profesionales y asta crear pequeos grupos.
Si usted le pregunta a los nios del Campamento de
Verano sobre la tecnologa, ellos le dirn que les gusta
u lizar Quizlet Live. Este programa les permite a los
estudiantes prac car sus palabras de vocabulario ya sea
en grupos o solos. Cuando jugamos la versin en Vivo en
