MINUTES OF UNIT II SOLIDARITY MEETING

August 23, 2016
Socorro Municipal Conference Hall
The Solidarity Meeting started at 1:56 pm with the opening prayer led by Violeta C.
Lope, followed by a welcome address by Mr. Bernardo Z. Rabi, Principal I and PESS
Coordinator of Socorro District together with an inspirational message from Mayor Ma. Fe
Bubut Brondial.
The meeting was attended by the following:

The following are the agenda of the meeting.
Mr. Allan Conti reported the Unit Meet Evetn in Victoria with the Unit 2 Elementary
as Overall Champion and Unit 2 secondary is second place. All monetary funds will
be liquidated by the Accounting Office amounting to Php520,000.00
The budget for the Provincial Meet on November 2016 will be Php150,000.00 for
each municipality (Gloria, Pola, Socorro, Victoria) and the total amount is
Php600,00.00.
Expenses for the Provincial Meet will be uniform, foods, solidarity night and training.
There is no need to buy kitchen utensils, medicines, equipments according to Mr.
Alexis Gamilla and the host municipality will shoulder the expenses.
According to Mr. Rabi, the lacking kitchen utensils will only be purchased.

 According to Ms. Loida Besa, the budget for the kitchen utensils amounting to
Php20,000.00 shall not be touched because of the meagre budget and it is for the
benefit of everyone.
Sir de Belen suggested to have a white board for meeting to follow the flow of topics.
Sir Manahan asked who will take charge of the kitchen utensils because previously its
Kanya kayang bili ng utensils.
Sir Gamilla suggested to ask first the price of catering if the budget will be enough.
Sir Allan Conti justified and seconded the budget of Php20,000.00 by Mdm. Loida
Besa.
Sir Manahan also suggested to request for the transporation of athletes from each
municipality, he told that Victoria District LGU will carry all the equipments and
Socorro will be supported by the Mayor in the Provincial Met, Solidarity Night in
Unit Meet.
According to Sir Alexis all the materials and equipments leftover in the District Meet
shall be kept and used for the Provincial Meet. Some sports equipment will be
borrowed from DYCNHS c/o Sir Eligio Luz and a letter of request shall be made
earlier.
Sir Guaves mentioned that in purchasing equipments, it should be branded and with
quality so that it will last longer.
According to Mr. Conti, the items that will be borrowed from DYCNHS are rubber
mats, shot put, discuss throw and other athletics equipment.
Unit Meet Date was set on October 19, 20, 21, 22 at Socorro District and there will be
committees assigned in each event to be headed by the following:
o Venue- Sir Guaves
o Archery/Athletics DYCNHS
o Arnis LES
o Badminton Municipal Gym Socorro
o Softball Central School
o Basketball MDOCS
o Boxing Municipal Gym Socorro
o Chess- Municipal Hall
o Gymnastics Municipal Hall
o Lawn Tennis Zone I DYC-Secondary/Grace- Elementary
o Sipak MDOCS Secondary/Central Elementary
o Taekwondo / Swimming
o Volleyball - MDOCS Secondary/Central Elementary
o Billiards Secondary only
o Footsal new game
According to sir allan rules shall be imposed as no competing entry, no points in
tally sheets but the participant will represent the unit in the higher level of the
competition.
The billeting Quarters will be in Socorro Central, DYCNHS, LNHS, MDOCS and
LES
Other concerns are the budget deadline by Mr. Manahan that memorandum and other
pertinent papers shall be prepared ahead of time for the in-time release of the budget.
According to Mayor Lito Malabanan the request shall be made 128 days before its
approval.
August 31 is the deadline right after the deliberation of minutes and it was granted.
Mr. Conti asked if there are any budget that can be withdrawn ahead aside from the
food budget. The Budget Officer answered this query.

 For the catering services according to Sir Luz, the price depends on the kind of food
ordered
The color by municipality were also agreed as follows:
o Gloria Blue
o Pola Green
o Victoria Red
o Socorro - Pink
Sir Guaves as ked for the review of the list of Officials by Event, many names are
included but not performing their duties.
Sir Conti suggested for the conduct of Refresher Course of Officials before the Unit
Meet for the smooth flow of the event as requested by Mdm. Joy De Castro to the
Division Office
According to Six Alexis, speaker per event will be invidted.
Mam Alinio suggested to assess and asked those who officials who are interested and
report all non-functioning officials.
Sir Luz mentioned that these practices shall be stopped because these officials are
only interested in the service credits, certificates and promotions.
Sir Alexis suggested that officials that will be included are those who are willing to
perform their duties.
According to Mdm Bagadiong, a refresher course is not the solution to lessen the
problems during the sports meet. She said that Ang Tamad ay Tamad
Sir Allan Conti suggested to have an Event Supervisors in each event and the host
district has the most participating officials.
But Mr. Guaves mentioned that if these teachers/officials cannot do anything if not
permitted by their school head.
Mdm Alinio said that once the name of teachers/officials are included in the
memorandum signed and approved by the SDS, the school head will have to comply
and follow the order.
According to Sir Luz, there should be a modular activity for the participating
pupils/athletes for them to fill the gaps during the meet.
All the concerns and issues regarding the Meet were cleared and in satisfaction of
everyone.
Mr. Manahan moved to adjourn the meeting which is seconded by all.
The meeting ended at exactly 4:30 in the afternoon.
