Jaipur is one of the well-designed cities in India. Often, Jaipur is called as The Pink City of
Rajasathan. Also, there is a tale behind this name. Around 1905-1906, Prince of Wales visited
Jaipur. So, there was a desperate necessitate for the city to come into view as a good-looking
conurbation. For this reason, the city was repainted. However, due to the lack of sufficient colors
of paints, the painters decorated the entire city in pink shade. Jaipur is famous for its charming
monuments and vivid markets, stunning handlooms and magnificently designed gardens.
People in Jaipur are smiling and welcoming. Jaipur is celebrated for its grandiose forts,
luxurious Havelis, gorgeous lakes and awesome sand dunes. Jaipur is not only gifted with
astonishing tourist attractions but also has an admirable infrastructure to sustain the tourism.
Jaipur boasts some of the best hotels of the nation. These hotels harmonize the picturesque
and architecture attractiveness of the Pink City.
The olden times of Jaipur takes the readers to more or less 300 years back in history, when the
Mughal Kingdom in India was turned down. Jaipur, the pink city of Rajasthan was established in
the year 1727 by the great Maharaja Jai Singh II who was a Kachhwaha Rajput. He ruled the
region from the year 1699 to 1744. In the beginning, Maharajas capital city was Amber. Amber
is placed at a distance of about 11kms from the city of Jaipur. However, Maharaja wanted to
move his capital city to some other place owing to the raise in residents and mounting
insufficiency of water. So, Maharaja Jai Singh decided to create Jaipur. As a matter of fact,
Jaipur was the first designed city of India and the sovereign took so much effort while planning
Jaipur. He referred quite a lot of architectural books and discussed with brilliant architects
before creating the design of Jaipur city. After numerous combats with Maratha rulers, Jai Singh
wanted to protect the people of Amber by avoiding disagreements with the Mughal Emperors.
Owing to multiple reasons, Maharaja Jai Sing concentrated on the technical and artistic welfare
to make Jaipur as a luminous city.
the olden Indian style of architecture which was used by Vidyadhar while designing the splendid
city of Jaipur. In the beginning, this garden served as a winery to former emperors. Later, it was
remodeled to its current form. In essence, Vidhyadhar Ka Bagh was made custom made to
fetch a feeling of relief in the parched landscape of the arid region. The Garden is positioned at
a distance of about 8 km in the eastern side of Jaipur city, on the Jaipur-Agra thoroughfare.
Vidyadhar Garden is snuggled between 2 rock-strewn mountains, which offer its much desirable
picturesque status to this spot. This rambling garden, with its wonderfully arranged chiseled
fountains, flowerbeds, pictorial vineyard, sylvan lakes, Mural paintings and stunning galleries
are a real feast to the visitors eyes. Vidhyadhar Gardens is the inimitable, well-designed garden
in the stately city of Jaipur. Visitors can admire the beauty of this garden during early sunset
when the garden is lightned up with dazzling and colorful lights everywhere.
