Atmospheric Pressure Lift

Piston moved up with speed

corresponding to the
lift required

Cylinder open at top

and closed at bottom

Very Little gap between

cylinder and piston
(contactless)

Atmospheric pressure pushes

the cylinder up with huge force
depending on surface area, creating
a lift when piston is moved up with
speed.

In the above setup when solid piston is moved up with some speed, a momentory drop of pressure is created
inside the cylinder below the portion covered by the piston. Hence air tries to enter from both top and bottom
part of the cylinder into cylinder. Since there is very little air gap between cylinder and piston, air takes some
time to move into the cylinder. Meanwhile, since the bottom portion of cylinder is closed, the air trying to
enter from the bottom exerts force on bottom surface lifting the entire cylinder up thereby creating a vertical lift.
This method can be used to make contactless and frictionless machinery parts thereby reducing wear and tear.
This method can also be used to make flying vehicles like helicopter with greater efficiency. In conventional
helicopters lot of energy is wasted because of huge wings compared to the body creating drop of pressure for
upward lift.
