Introduction
This UNCLAIMED GOODS POLICY (Policy) forms an integral part of the SELLER AGREEMENT
executed between You (Seller) and M/S JASPER INFOTECH PRIVATE LIMITED (hereinafter
referred to as Snapdeal). This policy is applicable on the goods/products which are lying in
the Fulfilment Centre as per the terms and conditions of Seller Agreement. Unclaimed
Goods/Products are those products which have been marked as Unclaimed by Snapdeal or
Logistic Service Provider under the various scenarios mentioned herein below in this policy.
Unless specifically provided for supersession, this Policy shall not supersede the Seller
Agreement and for any conflict between Policy and Seller Agreement, the terms of Seller
Agreement, to the extent of such conflict, shall prevail over this Policy.
Products in the following scenarios constitute and shall be marked as Unclaimed Goods.
1.

Goods which are lying in Fulfilment Centre for more than 60 days from the date of
Goods Receive Note (GRN) and fulfilling the following conditions:
a. Communication about the ageing of the stock (Sellers products lying in Fulfilment
Centre) is communicated to the Seller though Seller Panel/email registered with
Snapdeal (Registered email) or any other mode of electronic communication or letter
by post/ courier.
b. Fulfilment Centre slot has not been booked even after 7 calendar days post the
Snapdeals communication to collect stock or
c. If the slot is booked within 7 days but the goods are not picked by the Seller within 14
days from the date of communication.

2. Quality Control (QC) rejected Goods that has not been picked up by the Seller even after
seven days from the date of GRN days and fulfilling the following conditions:
a. Communication about the QC reject is communicated to the Seller though Seller
Panel/Registered email or any other mode of electronic communication or letter by
post/ courier.
b. Fulfilment Centre slot has not been booked even after 7 calendar days post the
Snapdeals communication to collect stock or
c. If the slot is booked within 7 days but the goods are not picked by the Seller within 14
days from the date of communication.
3. Any amount due against the Seller remains unpaid for more than 30 calendar days and
fulfilling the following conditions:
a. Communication about the any debit balances (all amounts due from the Seller to
Snapdeal and also the cost of storage of Unclaimed Goods and its disposal) for greater
than 30 calendar days is communicated to the Seller though Seller Panel/Registered
email or any other mode of electronic communication or letter by post/ courier.

b. If Seller does not pay back the amount then Snapdeal may mark them as Unclaimed
Goods and exercise the right to liquidate the Sellers goods/products lying in the
Fulfilment Centre.
4. 15 days prior to permanent closure of Fulfilment Centre and fulfilling the following
conditions:
a. Communication about the closure of Fulfilment centres is communicated to the
Seller though Seller Panel/Registered email or any other mode of electronic
communication or letter by post/ courier 45 days in advance of the closure date
b. If Seller has not picked the Goods from the Fulfilment Centre even after 30 calendar
days post the communication of Fulfilment Centre closure.

5. Product(s) where its shelf life has crossed the Snapdeal threshold (click here for
Snapdeals subcategory wise threshold) and has been marked as Not good for sale by
Snapdeal and fulfilling the following conditions:
a. Communication about the threshold shall be communicated to Seller 7 calendar days
before Snapdeal defined threshold.
b. Fulfilment Centre slot has not been booked even after 7 calendar days post the
Snapdeals communication to collect stock or
c. If the slot is booked within 7 days but the goods are not picked by the Seller within 14
days from the date of communication.

6. Product lying in the Fulfilment Centre without submission of valid acknowledgment


copy or valid registration certificate from Govt. Authorities such as VAT / CST
department for the Seller to operate from Fulfilment Centre as its Additional Place of
Business and Snapdeal has communicated to the Seller:
a. about such expiry of the Acknowledgement copy basis the document Seller submitted
to Snapdeal and Seller has not picked up his goods even after 15 calendar days from
the date of communication.
7. Return to Origin (RTO)/ Return Undelivered (RTUD) and Reverse Pickup (RPU) for
which delivery attempted has been made 3 times.
8. Action on Unclaimed Goods and liability of the Seller:
i. Once a Product has been marked as Unclaimed Goods, Snapdeal and Logistics Service
Provider (which is providing Fulfilment Centre services and logistic services) will not
have any duty of care towards such Product.

ii. Further, the Seller shall indemnify Snapdeal and Logistics Service Provider for all the
expenses, costs, expenses, damages, losses and liabilities incurred or suffered by
Snapdeal or Logistics Service Provider, as the case may be for storage or disposal, etc.
of all Unclaimed Goods.
iii. Seller hereby permits Snapdeal (or any liquidator or auctioneer appointed by
Snapdeal) to liquidate/ sell/dispose those unclaimed goods/Products.
iv. Seller agrees, understands and confirms that upon the sale proceeds received from
such liquidation or disposal of such unclaimed goods, Snapdeal shall have first right to
recover all amounts due from the Seller to Snapdeal which also including RTO, RPU
and RTUD amount and also the cost of storage and such disposal (Debit Balances). Any
excess realisation over and above to Debit Balances will be paid back to Seller online
to Sellers registered bank account.
v. Without prejudice to all Snapdeals rights and available remedies for Sellers fault or
breach related to Unclaimed Goods, Seller relinquishes its rights with respect to the
Unclaimed Goods so liquidated/sold/ disposed. Snapdeal states that any liquidation by
Snapdeal shall be on wholesale basis or business-to-business basis.
vi. Seller agrees and permits Snapdeal, its third parties or Logistics Service Provider to
transfer the title in the Unclaimed Goods and other collateral and benefits thereto
(viz., warranties etc.) in the same manner as Seller would have transferred to the
Buyer.
