Introduction:

Lettuce is one of the leafy vegetable, it requires deep, loose and friable soil, and
grow quickly when abundant amount of organic fertilizer that present in the soil as well
as nitrogen which is compost of manure and dried leaves organic matter.
A common practice in Sophies Farm is to grow lettuce using organic fertilizer as
inputs to production which is very important and give a stable standard of return of
investment. Through organic fertilizer, lettuce has a robust growth under composing of
different manure applications which may entail very gainful yields as far as production is
concerned.
Farm manure gardening maximizes the use of animal residues, dried leaves of
coconut, rice, anahaw and attempts to return to the soil much of what comes out from it
and attempts to reduce cost of lettuce production inputs using chicken dung, carabao
and cattle manures and goat or sheep manures as fertilizer. Practising of using organic
fertilizer for lettuce production is very influencing to the community of Brgy. Doa Lucia,
Mondragon Northern Samar by conducting the livelihood practice of making organic
fertilizer that serves in the community a healthy and good standard living. Organic
fertilizer practice is not only helping the lettuce but also to the community, it helps to the
people by producing vegetables without any chemicals and pesticides mediums, its only
conserving the natural growth and natural health benefits of people. Through this
organic fertilizer people who use it felt comfortable and it is out of poison and avoiding
sick.
In supporting this project proposal would like to actuate the government for an
instance that may help: LGU (local government unit) it may helps a lot my proposal as
my driven to the other agencies, the Rural Banks and Land Banks that helps to fund the
farmers in every localities.

Purpose:
In my study on the response of lettuce production to various animal manures and
dries leaves, found out that the average of production are high average plot maturity are
significantly affected by the organic fertilizers. The influence of organic fertilizer in
lettuce production towards the living of the people in the stated cites are very relevant.
Proposing the organic fertilizer to the people is very high predictable important to the
residence, not only for the residence but also towards the farmers that enhance their
standard living.
Stated that the animal manures and dried leaves extracting to become organic
fertilizer. It is contains many of the minor elements and it is an excellent carrier of
beneficial soil organism besides furnishing nourishment for the growth and activity of the
lettuce production. Indicate that applications of organic fertilizers reduced water run-off
and soil erosion. It increased the amount of water in the soil for use by the crop and
supplied plant nutrients for higher crop yields. Organic fertilizer has the capacity to
improve the aeration and moisture relationship in the soil, in revealing the organic
composition of animal manure and dried leaves excreted by various kinds of animal
manures and dried leaves as follows:
Carabao manure 2,000 pounds per/ton; 48% nitrogen, 14% potassium and 42%
phosphorus
Swine 38%, 34%, 42%
Goat 1.83%, .35%, .99%
Chicken 1 %, .9%, .42%
Dried leaves anahaw 500 pounds
Dried leaves coconut 1,000 pounds
