This document outlines a data logging and controlling project for Ravi Jain at Legency Remedies in Baddi. It details the requirements including HMI, PLC, temperature controller, sensors for conductivity, flow, and temperature. The objective is to use data logging to measure temperature in three tanks, recording inlet and outlet temperature, conductivity, and flow. Challenges included ensuring flow was below 1.2 m3/hour, conductivity below 1.3, and temperature below 85C.

Location: Baddi Task: Data logging and controlling Requirement: All the data used in project example: HMI, PLC, DTC1000, conductivity sensors, flow meters. Data Logging: The processes to collect, analyze and store the data for later use is called logging. A data logger is a device that can be used to store and retrieve the data . Data logging also implies the control of how sensor collects and analyzes the data. Data loggers automatically make a record of the readings of the instruments located at different parts. The objective of this work is to use data logging for temperature measurement. HMI: Human machine interface is a device which creates interface between machine and human .In this project final data is displayed on HMI screen. PLC: Delta PLC is used. Its main power source is dc. DTC1000: It is temperature controller which is used in project. RTD: Resistive temperature diode which is a temperature sensor is used in this project as input. RTD is used here in 4 inputs. Its range is RTDPT100. Conductivity sensor: Conductivity sensor is used to check conductivity of flowing water. Two conductivity sensors are used which are of GFPS (George Fisher Typing System). Flow meters: Flow meters are used to check flow of water . Two flow meters are used which belongs to Nuclus Control.
ADC: Analog to digital converter is an electronic circuit that converts
continuous signals to discrete digital numbers. These are most widely used devices for data logging.
Description of work done:
In this project we had used three tanks. In the first tank , we had to calculate at what temperature water come into tank, its conductivity through conductivity meters , flow of water through flow meters and at what temperature water moves out of tank. In the second tank we had to calculate only conductivity and flow with the help of conductivity meters and flow meters respectively. In the third tank only the temperature in and temperature out is to be calculated with the help of RTD.
Problems faced during project:
Input parameters: Flow limit should be 1.2 m3/hour. Conductivity should be less than 1.3. Temperature range should be less than 85 C. Output parameters: Conductivity meter24V dc Temperature controller240V ac
