1. How would you describe your new job positions primary purpose or contribution to the department or organization?
Briefly describe.
As described during the last briefing of the restructuring of roles/positions, the project coordinator should handle the coordination
works for relatively smaller scale projects. Technical works should be minimized as there is usually conflict between the resources
needed to create the necessary outputs for both coordination and design works.
Project coordinators should manage the communication between stakeholders of the project and ensure the quality of the output of
work while conforming to the processes set by the company as well as following the ISO standards.
2.a. What would differentiate your roles and responsibilities from your lateral counterpart (e.g. if youre a Project
Supervisor, your lateral counterpart is the Associate Engineer.)
As compared to the design coordinators whose main role is to check the quality of the
drawings/reports being released, the project coordinator should ensure the timeliness of the project
as well as manage the expectations of the clients and other stakeholders
2.b. What would differentiate your roles and responsibilities from the immediate next higher level? From the immediate
next lower level
The Project Supervisor should coordinate relatively larger and more complicated projects compared to
the project coordinator.
The Design engineer should do mostly technical works assigned by the design coordinator and some
administrative works assigned by the project coordinator.
