Start by sanding the wooden
surface you want to
transform along the grains.
STAINING:

Wipe the surface clean and

then apply Asian Paints
Wood Stain on it, if needed.

To seal the wooden surfaces well, mix the Sealer Base, Hardener and Thinner in the recommended ratio.
Now apply over the wooden surface either by spraying or with a brush. Once its dry, sand the surface
before applying another coat of the sealer mix.

TOPCOAT APPLICATION:
Mix the Product Base and Hardener in the recommended ratio and apply 2 or 3 finish coats over the
sealer. Sanding between coats is also necessary, as this will give the surface a smoother finish.

the right care to prepare your wall surface, use the
right colours, tools and paints will it truly capture

Theres a lot you expect from your exterior painted surfaces. It has to look
good but also should be able to withstand harsh weather conditions. Its
why you need to prepare your surface well, before applying an exterior
paint of your choice.

Treat the exterior wall surfaces from where water is seeping in with
recommended coats of Asian Paints SmartCare Damp Proof.

Removing old paint and algae

To prepare your exteriors walls, start by sanding the surface
to remove loose dust particles and old paint. Now check for ugly
green or black patches on the walls. These indicate algal growth.
Wire-brush the affected area and apply SmartCare Bio Block to prevent
these problems from reappearing.
Check for dampness

During heavy rains, your exterior walls become the prime cause of
dampness at home. Water seeping in through exterior walls, chajjas and
terraces can destroy your homes beauty and lead to a variety of paint
defects such as:
Blistering
Peeling/Flaking
Appearance of boils on the surface
Detachment of the paint film from the surface (papdi formation)
Check for cracks

Check your exterior walls regularly for cracks. Appearing as a result
of the wall surface splitting due to structural ageing, cracks are prime
breeding grounds for algae and unwanted weeds and an easy way
for water to seep in.
Solution for cracks
