Eighth Grade Trip Around Georgia

Dear Eighth Grade Parents and Students,

One of the most memorable experiences of a students eighth grade year at Locust Grove Middle School
is the Trip Around Georgia. It is a three-day, two-night tour that will take our students across Georgia to
visit and study some of our states most famous sites. Our travels will take us to places including Andersonville,
Okefenokee, and Savannah! Our trip will end in a day at Wild Adventures in Valdosta! Then, we come back
home to LGMS on Friday night. Please note that the itinerary may have minor changes prior to the trip, but you will receive a
finalized version before the trip.

This years trip will be Wednesday, March 29- Friday, March 31 and will cost $385.00. This
price includes transportation on luxury charter busses, hotel rooms, ALL meals, three t-shirts to be worn on
the trip, nighttime security, and admission to ALL sites and events. The cost can be broken into three
payments as follows:
1st payment
2nd payment

Please note: Students who are assigned to ISS two times or more/or who receive one assignment to
OSS between the dates of November 1 and April 1 will NOT be allowed to attend the trip. Additionally, no
refunds will be made. (Any questions or concerns about this policy should be directed to Mr. Townsend. Final decisions
will ultimately be made at his discretion.) Additionally, all students who attend the trip must be passing a minimum of
three academic classes by March 29, 2016, or they will not be allowed to attend the trip.

If you would like to go with us this year, return this letter, along with your first payment of $125 to Ms.
Zabala in the front office. All checks should be made payable to Locust Grove Middle School. Future payments
should also be made out to Locust Grove Middle School and given to Ms. Zabala who will receipt it.
If you would like to chaperone this trip, we would love to have you. The cost is the same for parents as
for students, and you would be responsible for a small group of students throughout the trip.
