Statement of the Problem

Generally, this research aims to determine the perception of


the Grade 7 students to the implementation of the K-12
Program
Specically, the research sought to answer the following
question:
1.

What is their perception in terms of:


a. Student's Awareness
b. School Facilities/ Learning materials
2. Reasons why o why you don't agree about the New
Curriculum?
3. Do you think it would help you to be more competent
to your future work?

Scope and Limitations


The scope of this research is mainly to
determine the perception of the Grade 7 students
to the implementation of the K-12 program in
Casimiro A. Ynares Sr. Memorial National High
School year 2015-2016.
This research will be done by
conducting a survey to the selected Grade7
students. the instrument to be used is a self-made
questionnaire. This is conducted from Jan-feb
2016.

Significance of the Study


The significance of the study is beneficial to
the following:
Teacher: This research would provide teachers
information to the perception of the students about K-12.
School administrators: This research could help the
school administrators to proposed programs that would
address the needs of the students.
Future Researchers: This research could be a basis for
further study of future researchers.

Research Design

This study is a descriptive-survey


research design to determine the perception of
the randomly selected students to the
implementation of the K-12 program in
Casimiro A. Ynares Sr. Memorial National
High School.
The correlation technique was used to
determine the relationship between the
respondents' profile to their perception toward
K-12 program.

Research Respondents

The respondents of this study were the


students of the bonifade Grade 7, regular
students of Casimiro A. Ynares Memorial
National High School. The Grade 7 students
were selected randomly because the
researchers only need 10 students per section
(5 boys,5 girls)

Research Procedure

A letter of request to float questionnaires was


presented to the English Teacher, Head of the English
Department and the School Principal. Upon approval,
the researcher also presented a letter of request to the
subject teachers of the above mentioned sectioned and
personally delivered the questionnaires to the respondent
and retrieved them afterwards.
The data collected were carefully organized,
analyzed, interpreted and presented totabular and
textual form for ease of comprehension.

Research Instrument

The tool used in the study includes


data-gathering instrument in the questionnaires.
The questionnaires was given to the respondents
for determining the profile and the perception of
the respondents regarding the topic/problem under
study.
The instruments is just a self-made
survey by the researchers. They presented it to
their English teacher for some verification and
corrections.

Statistical Treatment

The data were gathered and subjected


to the following statistical method.
1. Frequency counts and percentage were
used for problem number 1, on the profile
of the respondents.
2. Descriptive statistic. using mean and
standard deviation for the perception of the
respondents toward K-12.
