UP Health System Marquette has announced that Amanda Johnson, PhD, ABPP-CN, has joined its

Brain & Spine Center as a neuropsychologist.


Dr. Johnson joins UP Health System Marquette from Saginaw, MI, where she served as Staff
Neuropsychologist for Covenant Healthcare. Prior to this work, Dr. Johnson owned a neuropsychological
private practice in Bay City, MI, where she treated patients for various neurological conditions and
behavioral and cognitive issues. She earned her PhD from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI and
completed her Clinical Neuropsychology/Rehabilitation Psychology Fellowship at Michigan State
University, Flint Area Medical Education (FAME).
Dr. Johnson is board-certified by the American Board of Professional Psychology and the American Board
of Clinical Neuropsychology, and is a member of the Michigan Psychological Association, National
Academy of Neuropsychology, International Neuropsychological Society, and American Academy of
Clinical Neuropsychology.
Dr. Johnsons peer-reviewed research has appeared in the Journal of the International
Neuropsychological Society, International Journal of Health Information Systems and Informatics,
Rehabilitation Psychology, and The Gerontologist and focuses on cognitive issues in geriatric patients.
Dr. Johnson brings with her a family, and is eager to introduce her three young children to all the outdoor
activities in the Marquette area.
