Topic 1: Why is it necessary to learn English?

I'm sure that it is very necessary and important to learn English now, because English is
the language of the planet. 760 million people all over the world use it. Therefore,
learning English is essential because of the following reasons:

First of all, hundreds of books, magazines and newspapers are printed in English and
read all over the world. Half of the world's scientific literature is written in English.
Secondly, over 30 million people speak English as a mother tongue. The native speakers
of English live in Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand and the USA. English is one of the
official languages in the Irish Republic, Canada and the South African Republic. As a
second language it is used in the former British and US colonies. Besides, millions of
people study and use English as foreign language.
Thirdly, every year thousands of people go to different countries as tourists or to work
and they can't go without knowing the language of the country they are going to, but
they can speak English, because it is an international language. A modern engineer or
even a worker cannot work with an imported instruments or a machine if he is not able
to read the instruction how to use it. A scientist, a historian, a diplomat are, as a rule,
polyglots, because they need foreign languages for their work. If you want to be a
stewardess or a pilot you must learn English, the language of international
communication.

Finally, in our country English is very popular: it's studied at schools (sometimes even at
nursery schools), colleges and universities. Learning English is not an easy thing as it
takes a lot of time and patience. Sometimes it's boring to study grammar or to learn
new words, but it's well known that reading books in the original, listening to the BBC
news, communicating with the English speaking people will help a lot.
As for me, I try to read books, poems of English writers in the original, I learn poems by
heart and 10 words daily, I try to translate English songs. I also want to use English in
my future job, because I want to become an interpreter.
So I can say that English is absolutely necessary to know for every educated person, for
every good specialist today.
Topic 2: In your opinion, Which job is the most interesting job? Why?
I find it difficult to answer the question: What is the most interesting job. In my opinion, there is no
job which is most. Everyjob has their value, meaning and excitement of their own.
If someone feels happy and proud to have a good and peak job in society, that people admire, respect
as doctor, engineer, policeman, ... then for me, something I feel happy and always expect is to be

done the job I love even it is the most trivial one (here we do not consider illegal work). Of course, if
you're a doctor or an engineer, your future and money would be more open, higher social status.
In general, you can have a full comfortable life on material. But not sure you have the
spiritual life really comfortable and happy and somebody asks me if it is of the most exciting
career and which work like housework, clerk, small trader at the market, is the least
interesting one, I would say no.
As mentioned above, for me, to do the work that I like and fit my ability, that is the most
interesting work. because when you like you are excited and apply all your possibilities to
work hard. And as a result, productivity increases, jobs are completed successfully. Then we
will feel very happy, happy, satisfied, even proud of yourself and feel like their work better.
That is the most interesting work. There are many who think housework is boring hard work,
which has no fun and fade beauty away. But they do not know that a woman will be happy
very much when they cook good nutritional meals by themselves for her husband and
children. They will be very secure when it is them who take their children to school and pick
them up after school every day and happier when they see the door neat, clean by their hands
clean up. At that time, for them, housework is considered interesting. If the housework have
been seen as boring, hard, there is a job that is harder and even people who do this work fall
into contempt, and in low regard from...

Topic 3: The reasons why the young people prefer to live in town.

Young people are always active and keen on learning; so most of them prefer to live in town.
First of all, living in town, they have many chances to widen their knowledge. Nowadays
many language schools and centers open in town. They can go to any evening classes to
improve their foreign languages such as French, English, Russian, German, Japanese and
Chinese. Experienced teachers and professors are ready to provide them with what they
want to know. Besides that, they can go to public libraries or English speaking clubs to
broaden their knowledge and improve their English speaking skills.
Second, living in town, they can keep abreast of current affairs all over the world by reading
newspapers, magazines or by watching television or listening to the radio. In the morning,
they saw Kuwait occupied by Irag troops but in the evening, they saw them driven out of this
oil-producing country by powerful allied forces.
Third, our country is open to all foreign investments and town is the cradle of industrial
development. Therefore, upon graduating from university, they can have favorable
opportunities to make full use of their ability.
Finally, there are many comfortable means of communication and entertainment in town.
They can go anywhere they like and after a hard days work they can enjoy minutes of
recreation by watching interesting films on a large screen in a modern and air-conditioned
cinema in town.
For the above-mentioned reasons, an urban life has always been a fascinating appeal to all
young men in the world.

Topic 4:

Why are good books good teachers and friends?

It is often said: Tell me what you are reading and I will tell you who you are.
For me, a good book is always a good teacher guiding me through life as well as a true
companion encouraging me and consulting me in my desperate straits.
In fact, interesting books are a source of invaluable knowledge to those who want to master
everything they havent known before. Through masterpieces all over the world we can
realize the whole outstanding culture and civilization of mankind in every aspect: literature,
science, sociology, anthropology, technology and economics.
Nobody denies the important role of good books in developing mans knowledge. The more
we read valuable books the more we become wise and experienced. By reading books, we
can get rid of all prejudices and narrow-mindedness. We can no longer live in The Ivory
Tower like a recluse and therefore we can get along with other people around us easily.
Next, good books are true companions who always share our joys and sorrows in our daily
activities. Are you in low spirits and disappointed in your affairs? Read wise advice through
books by profound scholars and authors. Are you sad? Read subtle humorous stories of
well-known humorists in the world. All your sorrows and disappointments will vanish at
once.
In summary, good books help us train our personality. They help us distinguish the Good
from the Bad and they lead us to the True, the Good and the Beautiful.
