He was there for a short time. After he left the victim discovered that his money
was gone from his dresser. He tried to call the suspect but got no answer. The
suspect was the only person that was in the residence around the time the money
went missing.

NEIGHBORS, K. R.

Dispatched to 1121 Washington Ave in reference to a Battery Report. On scene

contain was made with the two listed victims, M. Kennedy, and C. Brown. Brown
stated he and Kennedy had intervened in an altercation with some females who
were being harassed by two males. Kennedy stated the males were told to leave the
bar and they had not seen them since that time. Brown stated he and Kennedy
were walking outside with the females later after the bar closed and the two males
were outside waiting for them. Brown stated one of the males came up from
behind him and "sucker punched" him on the right side of his face near his neck.
Kennedy stated the other male walked up to him and punched him in his face,
causing a split on the top right corner of his lip.
Brown stated the two males then got into a black truck and left the area going
north bound on Green River Rd. Brown and Kennedy wished to pursue charges
and I gave both males a card with a case number, and advised both victims they
would need to go to the prosecutor`s office and file charges since it was a
misdemeanor offense. Both victims advised they understood.

Leflore parked his 2016 Ford Explorer in front of his house at 1307 East Park Dr
on the evening of the 18th and all was fine with the vehicle. Upon coming out the
next morning, Leflore noticed the front door window on the passenger side of the

I was dispatched to 1400 Crabapple Circle to speak to Ruth Porter. I arrived and
Mrs. Porter directed me to the back of her house. She told me around 7:30 P.M.
they heard a loud crash. She told me her husband went outside and looked around
but didn`t see anything. When they got up this morning they found one of their
flower pots against the back of the house. The pot was on its side and a lot of the
dirt was on the ground. It appears someone took the pot from the edge of the
driveway and threw it at Mrs. Porter`s window. The pot left a small scratch on the
middle of the window and knocked a plastic bird onto the ground. Mrs. Porter
said this kind of vandalism has been going on every couple of months. I gave her
the case number to the report and advised her we would give her extra patrol.

Reporter stated while in the store the females selected an unknown amount of over
the counter medications. Reporter stated the females concealed the items and left

Wassmer, Golf Pro at McDonalds Golf Course, 2905 E Morgan Ave, reports that
on 091516, the listed IO, Mooney, advised him that he believes that the listed
suspect, an employee of the course, may have been taking the cash that he and his
playing partners had paid him for their golf. He advised him that he had watched
the suspect take the cash and not write their names down in the golf players log.
He and his playing partners have a standard Tuesday evening game, so this had

been going on for awhile. He felt that it wasn`t right that he was doing this and
wanted Wassmer to look into it.
Wassmer checked the logs and receipts and found that there had not been any cash
entries on the dates that Mooney spoke of. There were credit card entries, but no
cash entries. He then checked other days and other employees and found that the
days with no cash entries, were the days that the suspect worked.
Wassmer stated that the course had a new computerized cash register installed and
he knew that the numbers were down, but thought that it was just taking time for
some of the transactions to go through. He now feels that the thefts had been
going on since sometime in March or the beginning of April and could total up to
$10,000.00.

VI advised that when he awoke the OF was in his residence. VI believes that the
OF was trying to rob him. VI confronted the OF and believes this ended when the
OF apparently grabbed a glass bottle of some type and hit the VI in the head with
it at least once before fleeing.
VI was very incoherent/semiconscious and had several visible cuts on the back of
his head. VI was also nauseous and appeared to have labored breathing. VI was
only able to advise that it was a black male and that he thinks entry was made thru
an open window.
Both IOs were at the residence at the time but one was supposedly sleeping and the
other was supposedly in the basement.
Penn`s girlfriend, IO, was awakened by the other listed IO and she took Penn to St
Mary`s ER.

The reporter is Melissa Hall and she is the general manager for the McDonalds
located at 3704 North 1st Avenue. This McDonalds does their banking with Old
National Bank located at 1st Avenue and Buena Vista.
On today`s date Mrs. Hall was contacted by Old National Bank about a deposit
they had made on Friday. Evidently a movie prop $20 bill had been passed as a
real $20 bill. The movie prop $20 bill had been taped together. Mrs Hall talked to
her store manager about the movie prop and it being taped together. When she
mentioned taped together, the manager knew exactly who had passed it and at
what time.
It had been about 0715 am when an employee came over to tape up a $20 bill.
This bill was ripped and presented to the clerk. After it was taped back together it
was used for purchase of items by the female suspect. The male suspect walked
away from the female and started talking on his phone while the transaction took
place.
The store manager knows both suspects because she went to school with the
male.
There is excellent store video of this transaction. Old National Bank at 1st and
Buena Vista kept the $20 bill. A copy of the bill was given to McDonalds.

approached the counter. When RP turned his back, OF took a glass "bowl" pipe off
the counter and put it in her purse. This was caught on video. RP unsuccessfully
attempted to stop OF when as she was leaving the store. She got into listed
vehicle, which was occupied by two males and another female, and left.

spoke to the RP`s and their grandmother. They said they left their duplex around
0930 hrs and returned around 1230 hrs. When they left the house the doors were
locked. When they returned home the TV was missing and the back door was
open. It appears someone kicked the back door open and took the TV and remote.
They gave me a name of a possible suspect. I gave them the case number to the
report to give to their mother and the maintenance man.

PHELPS, J. W.

Adams, an employee with ECHO, 315 Mulberry, states that on 091916, she was
contacted by, Mark Patterson, an employee with UPS, 5444 E Indiana, and advised
that they had a package that he believed belonged to them. The package contained
the listed vital sign monitor, that the listed suspect had them pack. The suspect
intended to have the package shipped to the listed IO, but once she heard the price
of the packing and shipping cost, she left the store and left the package on the
counter. She never returned.
Patterson made several attempts to contact the suspect, but had no luck. On
071316, he left a message, advising the suspect that if she didn`t pick the package
up within 30 days, it would be destroyed. After the 30 days, he opened the
package and found ECHOS name on it. He then contacted Adams and let her
know that he had the item.
Adams stated that the employees of ECHO did not know the item was stolen,
therefore had never reported it.

On 09/19/2016 at approximately 1435 hours, I, Ofc. R. Smith, was dispatched to

5233 Carriage Dr. apt. 131 in reference to a general complaint. Upon arrival, I
spoke with reporter, Matthew Taylor, who stated that at approximately 0200 hours
this morning, his girlfriend and involved other, Jennifer Barker, called him to
inform him that the keys to his father`s (Michael Taylor) vehicle and vehicle were
missing. Taylor stated that Barker told him that she was at their residence, 1422 E.
Maryland St. and fell asleep on the couch with her purse next to her. Barker then
stated to Taylor that when she woke up, she noticed that the keys, which were in
her purse, of the victim`s truck and truck were missing. Taylor stated that the
offender and Barker were the only people at the resident during the time of the
incident.

stated that today Dupont refused to leave, and management had to get involved to

his permission.

On 09/19/2016 at approximately 1551 hours, I, Ofc. R. Smith, was dispatched to

413 N. Evans Ave. in reference to a battery report. Upon arrival, I spoke with
victim, Brooke Ward, who stated that she got into a verbal altercation with the
offender, and the last thing she remembers was being licked by a dog while she
was on the ground. I asked Ward if she ever lose consciousness, but she was
unsure.
Witness, Douglas Elliot, stated to me that Ward was attempting to leave the
residence, and the offender pushed her in the back, causing her to fall off the
porch. Elliot stated that when Ward hit the ground, the offender grabbed her by the
neck, picked her up while still holding her neck and threw her back down to the
ground.
I observed that red marks around Ward`s neck as if someone did grab her in that
area. She refused medical treatment.

I, Officer J. Smith, was dispatched to 2506 E Missouri St reference a burglary
report. I arrived on scene and met with the victim who stated his nephew broke
into his locked garage and stole items. The victim showed me where the door had
been pried open and the pad lock was busted off the door frame. The victim stated
he rents the above address to his sister, who was locked up on Friday on charges,
and he stated the garage was broken into during that time at some point. The
victim stated he kicked his nephew out a long time ago because he had stolen
items from the family off of another property. The victim stated the signed
contract only shows this address as his sisters, not her children. The victim was
given a case number.

Upon arrival, the victim stated he has been having trouble with the suspect for a
while and don`t know why the suspect doesn`t like the victim. The victim stated
the suspect came to his apartment driveway and reved up his motorcycle trying to
get the victim to come outside. The victim stated the suspect yelled at him to come
outside so the suspect can beat him up. The victim stated he shut his front door
and call police.
Officers spoke with the suspect who stated he did go over to the victim`s
apartment complex but to only speak with the landlord. The suspect stated he
never made any threats to cause harm to the victim. The suspect stated this is an
ongoing issue with the victim.

The victim was traveling west on Broadway Ave. He attempted to make a left turn
onto Bosse Ave. The hit and run vehicle (a maroon Chevy Lumina) was traveling
north on Bosse Ave and pulled forward too far. The vehicles collided at the
intersection of Broadway Ave/Bosse Ave.
The victim stated that following the accident other party (offender) exchanged
information with the victim. The information appeared fraudulent and the victim
waited for police.

While on patrol officers observed the offender fail to signal while driving E/B on
Washington Ave turning N/B onto Kerth Ave. During the traffic stop I found that
the offender had never received a drivers license. I placed him under arrest. During
the inventory of the vehicle Officers located narcotics inside of the vehicle. The
offender had a large amount of cash on his person. JTF detectives were called to
the scene and took over the investigation.

On 09/19/2016 at approximately 1949 hours, officers were dispatched to 1016 E.

Negley Ave. in reference to a battery report. Upon arrival, I, Ofc. R. Smith, spoke
with victim, Candice Alvey, who stated that the offender and father of her child,
assaulted her. Alvey stated that the offender came to the residence and was yelling
racial slurs toward her juvenile niece. Alvey stated the she told the offender to
leave, but he became angered and grabbed her by her neck. Alvey stated that the
offender slammed her to the ground still holding her neck, attempting to drag her
out of the residence. Alvey stated that he eventually released her and fled the
scene. Alvey stated the her juvenile son, which is also the son of the offender
witnessed this event. I did not observe any marks around Alvey`s neck but she did
complain of pain in that area. She refused medical attention.
Juvenile witness and niece to the victim, confirmed Alvey`s accounts of the
incident.

The victim advised he had a verbal argument with his girlfriend whom he lives
with. The victim stated he went to bed and woke up being hit in the face and head
by the suspect. The victim advised the suspect is the father of the girlfriends
daughter. The victim stated it was dark and he could not see anything in the room
but he got hit at least twenty times and then everyone left including the girlfriend.
The victim was extremely intoxicated and his speech was slurred. Most of the
information he gave us was difficult to understand. He stated he had a busted lip
but he had no visible injury or complaint of pain. He could give no further
information but advised he is always getting into it with his girlfriend.

We were dispatched to 1411 SE First St. in reference to a residential burglary

report. The victims, Richard Wroten and Anthony Burch, are roommates at this
residence. Wroten said he had not been home all day and Burch said he left

window was open and the front door was ajar. When he entered the apartment he
noticed several items had been thrown around and started noticing things missing.
Wroten arrived home shortly before we arrived. Wroten advised us that some of
the missing items included a small flat screen television, entertainment center,
speakers, several DVDs, and clothing. Crime scene was called to process the
scene.

Norman Thomas called 911 to report a criminal mischief to his vehicle. Thomas
states that he saw Mckain key his vehicle. Thomas states he heard a noise
and looked outside in his driveway. Thomas stated that this is when he saw
Mckain bump into his vehicle with her vehicle. Thomas said Mckain then got out
and keyed his vehicle. Thomas has damage to the passenger side rear fender,
passenger side front fender, and above both doors in the passenger side.
Thomas stated this started due to Mckain seeing him at Xcess (previously Scores)
talking to another female. Mckain was not in scene when Officers arrived.

where a piece of glass from the door was already missing. Compton stated that a
television, DVDs, and a small safe were missing. Compton stated there was
nothing inside the safe. Compton did not notice any other items missing at the time
of this report.
