Make sure everyone has a chance to share ideas and to ask


questions. Ask questions like: Does anyone see it a different
way? Does anyone have any questions?

Make sure everyone is writing down their ideas or sharing them


with the group. Help people share what they know about ways
to show their ideas. Ask questions like: How should we start to
set this up? How can we show where it grew?

RESOURCE
MANAGER:

Get materials for your team. Make sure all questions are group
questions before you call the teacher over. Ask questions like: Is
everyone ready to explain our question? Do we need anything
else?

If you are in a group of three then one person or multiple members can elect to perform
someone elses role. Example: Team captain acts as the facilitator as well.

Supplies:
Team Basket, tooth picks, and marshmallows.
Note: you will not be given additional marshmallows or toothpicks, so keep this in mind when
you are building

The Task:
Your groups challenge is to build the tallest free-standing tower that you can.
Make certain that each person records any team strategies or planning that you do.
You will have twelve minutes to work on this challenge.

After the Task Reflection Questions:

Was your team successful? Why? If your team was not successful, why not? What did your
team do well?
