as "not Haitian" and "not black." They abandoned sugar plantation. They are proud

They are catholic.
Haiti
Haiti became the first-ever black republic. It was the poorest country in the west.
Their religions are Catholicism and voodoo. King Henri Cristophe was the father of
the American Revolution and he destroyed everything of the country. Haiti has a lot
of economic problems and political corruption. Francois papa doc Duvalier stole
millions of dollars. They are still waiting for donations.
Similarities
They both share the same island of Hispaniola, yet share little else in terms of
language, economic opportunities, relations with colonial nations, and identification
with African ancestry and heritage.

Racism to afro-descendants
Afro-Latinos in the Dominican Republic, Brazil and Ecuador have something in
common and its de racism against them because of their descendants. As we can
see in the video they receive poor treatment or violence against them
because of their race, usually because of the idea that one race is superior
and have the authority to dominate others that they think are inferior.
Also for Afro-Colombians which are descendants from Africans culture black and
native voices are often dismissed because they tend to come from the periphery.
People who belong to this group then, tend to come from remote and depressed
areas, forgotten by the government, where basic needs are unmet, public services
are lacking and education is of low quality.
