1. Software Introduction
T322 terminal firmware upgrade guide is used for upgrading GPS tracker. It is
applicable to T322 products from Meitrack Group.

2. Hardware And Software Requirements

Desktop or laptop computer with Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7

systems.
An USB Data Cable

Driver for USB Cable

T322 terminal firmware upgrade application

3. Installation And Connection

Run PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller to install the driver for the USB Data Cable.
Note: PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller can be found in the folder USB-232 Driver
of the CD in the package box.

Connect the USB Data Cable into your computers USB port.

Open Device Manager (To open Device Manager---- click My Computer by

right-hand button -Manager- Computer Manager- Device Manager) and
then click Port (COM and LPT). You will find Prolific USB-to-Serial Comm Port
as the following picture shows:

Note: remember the COM port number in parentheses. One needs to select this port
when using the firmware upgrade software later. It is COM4 in this example and it
may be other ports in actual use.

4. Upgrade The Firmware

Note: Do make sure the device is disconnected with external power when in
upgrading.
Please do as the following steps:
1, Install PL2303_Prolific_DriverInstaller driver from CD first.

2, Connect one end of USB cable data to computer USB port. Leave the other end
aside.
Turn off the device. See below picture.

3, Open the fileT322DownTool land double click MultiPort FlashDownload Project.

exe. See below picture.

4.Choose File Open Download Agent File when below interface occurs.

5. ChooseMTK_AllInOne_DA.binin the pop-up dialog box and click open. The file
MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin will be uploaded to the interface of upgrade tool. See
below picture.

6, Click Image Folder, choose the firmware file T322_EV213_20131115, and click
OK. Then the firmware T322_EV213_20131115 will be uploaded to this upgrade
tool. See picture below.

7, Choose COM port and set the parameter under COM Port. See below picture.
COM port: UART, Baud rate: 921600, Operation: Download ROM
Note1: the higher Baud rate is, the faster the upgrading will be. Max921600

Note2: If the occupied COM port cannot be founded in the left COM port list (e.g.,
COM port 7 cannot be found in the list).You can redefine the COM port list. Do as the
followings:
Choose OptionsSet begin COM port, set 1 as the begin COM port, then click
apply. The COM port list will be redefined starting from COM1. (Now you can see
COM7 is in the COM port list)

8, Start to upgrade the firmware.

(1)Select the occupied COM port (eg,COM7),then click start.

(2) Connect the other end of USB data to the device. The device will automatically
start upgrading (during upgrading all lights keep off)

(3) The color of the progress bar starts to change from red to yellow then to blue,
indicating the going on of upgrading. (This takes several minutes)

(4)When occuring DL OK and the blue bar indicates 100%, the upgrading is
completed.

The device is off when upgrading finishes.

Restart the device by two methods:
1. Turn off the upgrade tool, then plug out and plug in the USB data cable. Device will
restart itself automatically.
2. Plug out USB data cable, and press the power key for 2-3 seconds. Then the device
will restart itself.

Note:
During upgrading, please make sure the USB cable is connected to the device very
well. Otherwise the upgrading will fail.
