If you use Windows Vista, before applying this BIOS into
the system, you should install Windows Vista KB 937500
The information of KB937500 is located in the following
Microsoft's site.
To verify if KB937500 is installed properly,
1. Click Start, then click Control Panel.
2. Find Programs and Features and click. If this
option does not exist on the window, choose Classic
View to find it.
3. On Tasks pane, click on View installed updates
4. Verify that KB937500 is included in the list of
installed updates.
Attention:
Do not turn off or suspend the computer until the update has been
completed. IF YOU DO THAT WHILE THE UPDATE IS STILL
IN PROGRESS, THE SYSTEM BOARD MAY HAVE TO BE
REPLACED.
Manual Update
This section assumes to use Internet Explorer and Explorer.
[Downloading file]
1. Click once on the underlined file name with the left mouse
button. Once this is done, some pop-up windows will appear.
2. Follow the instructions on the screen.
3. In the window to choose Run or Save, click the Save button.
4. Choose the folder you would like to download the file to and
click the Save button. A different window will appear and
the download will begin and complete. Once the download
has completed, there may or may not be a message stating
that the download completed successfully.

12. Make sure the checkbox next to "Install ..... now" is checked
and click Finish.
13. Follow the instructions on the screen.
14. Select Update ThinkPad BIOS and follow the instructions
on the screen.
15. After the update has been completed, the program shows a
message Flash Update has been successfully completed...
Follow the instructions on the screen to restart the computer.
Unattended Update
Note: This is intended for system administrators only. The BIOS is
updated without any user interaction.
Note:
After initialization you may need to reapply some settings that you
had changed previously.

Additional information
1. How to enter the Intel Management Engine BIOS Extension
screen:
To save system boot time, the <Ctrl-P> prompt for Intel
Management Engine BIOS Extension screen was removed
from the boot screen.
Instead of the <Ctrl-P> prompt, the following new entries
were added in the Boot Menu shown by pressing the F12
at boot.
