Series. At Burris, if it
isnt broke, we dont fix it, we just enhance it so it
looks and performs better. The new Fullfield E1
riflescopes are a perfect example.
We took our popular line of Fullfield II riflescopes
and gave them a sleek new profile with upgraded
windage/elevation knobs, a new integrated
power ring and eyepiece that will now accept
flip-up lens caps. In addition, we enhanced their
precision and accuracy with the addition of our
Ballistic Plex E1 reticle. Until now this wind
compensating reticle was only available on our
premium SixX scopes. The Ballistic Plex E1
etched reticle is another Burris innovation that
provides a simple, uncluttered method for

The Power of Posi-Lock

Burris patented Posi-Lock system counters the effects
of heavy recoil by replacing the springs of a conventional adjustment system with a retractable steel post.
To sight in, simply loosen the Posi-Lock screw, make the
adjustments, and then tighten the Posi-Lock screw. The
point-of-aim will remain firmly locked in place.

The XT-1 is the only knob that offers a true resettable

zero reference. The Rotation Indicator is at zero half
way through the adjustment range. Each scope is
assembled with 360 Radial Dials where the numbers
increment all the way around the dial. For tactical
situations where less than 1/2 a turn of the dial is
needed, a second pair of 180 Radial Dials is included.
On these dials the numbers increment half way
around the dial allowing the marksman to easily
count adjustments each direction from zero.

Tactical Adjustment Knobs
Operational ease, rapid accessibility and low profile
are the hallmarks of the Burris TAC-2 Adjustment Knobs.
The radial dial helps indicate at which revolution the
knob has been rotated. By having four scales of
reference, the shooter can always see one of them,
whatever his shooting position may be. Once the rifle
has been sighted in, TAC-2 knobs can be set to zero
by loosening the three set screws, rotating the knobs
to indicate zero, and then tightening the set screws.

Ballistic Plex
Knowing that holdover at longer ranges was the biggest

challenge to accurate shot placement, Burris developed the
first trajectory compensating reticle. While there have been
many imitations, Burris is still the leader and innovator in
offering simple, uncluttered and effective reticle designs.

Ballistic Plex E1
The Ballistic Plex E1 reticle is an enhanced design (available in
the Six X and Fullfield E1 scopes) that also lets the shooter
compensate for wind drift. Small dots placed to the left and
right of the reticle represents the effect of a 10 mph crosswind
for most big game hunting cartridges. For 5 mph, simply hold
into the wind half the distance to the dot. If the crosswind is 20
mph, simply hold into the wind twice the distance from the
center post to the dot.

Ballistic 5.56 GEN2 Reticle
This reticle is ideal for very flat shooting cartridges.

It is the choice of long range target shooters, varmint
hunters and tactical marksmen. The traditional Mil-Dots
can be used for estimating range, target size and
compensating for wind drift. The power ring has a
calibration mark set at roughly 14x power which provides
the trajectory compensation shown in the tables.
The Ballistic 5.56 GEN2 reticle was developed for competitive shooters,
law enforcement, and military applications. Available in the 1X-4X Xtreme
Tactical scope, the circular donut in the center provides ultra-fast engagement at close distances. The center dots and lower legs of the reticle provide
trajectory compensation out to 1,000 yards for the 5.56 62grain FMJ
cartridge. It is very accurate with a number of other cartridges out to 600
or 700 yards. The left, right, and upper reticle posts feature precise mil-bars
for estimating target sizes and distances.

Ballistic 7.62 Reticle
Nearly identical to the 5.56 GEN2 Reticle, the Ballistic 7.62 Reticle is
calibrated to provide trajectory compensation out to 1,000 yards for the
7.62 150 grain FMJ cartridge. It is ideal for AR-style rifles used by
competitive shooters, law enforcement, and military operators.
Illuminated Reticles
Illuminated reticles are best suited for low-light hunting conditions. The
Burris Lighted Reticle System (LSR) and Electro-Dot reticles make it easier to
determine the point of aim on darkly lit targets. Burris offers a selection of
illuminated reticles in variety of scopes. Depending upon the scope design,
the illumination intensity can be adjusted with a digital dimmer switch or
control dial on the left side of the adjustment turret.
