SYNOPSIS
This course provides a basic knowledge on the mechanical components of oil and
gas drilling rig to familiarize student with the drilling equipments and processes.
It is also designed to facilitate an understanding of drilling techniques and
problems employed in general drilling operation.

Upon completion of this course, the students are expected to be able to:

attendance will be barred from sitting for the final examination. Absence
from lectures, tutorials or tests must be supported with relevant
documentation.
Marks will be deducted for late submission of assignment/report at the rate
of 50% per week after the due date.
