Proposal
Pingalab is a high-level language and interactive environment for numerical
computation, visualization, and programming. Using Pingalab, one can analyse
data, develop algorithms, and create models and applications. The language tools
and built-in math functions enable the users to explore multiple approaches and
reach a solution faster than traditional programming languages.

The aim of FDP is to share knowledge to the professors about the significance of
Pingalab in advanced computation and enhance their skill set. This FDP is intended
to provide practical exposure of Pingalab with different ways of approach to
problems and solutions. This whole exercise will enhance professors approach &
capability to look on engineering problems by work leading to their M. Tech &
Ph. D. and research & Development.
Pingalab can be used for a range of applications, including signal processing and
communications, image and video processing, control systems etc. This workshop
will provide an insight into the above mentioned areas, its fundamentals, Pingalab
functions, programming for specific applications and research directions by
eminent experts in the field.

Image processing in Pingalab

Pingalab
Pingalab is a Numerical Computation Software that allows the designer to design,
analyze and verify the system concepts by representing it in mathematical form.
Pingalab allows the designer to customize the software for specific needs by letting
to load the required modules. Pingalab also include 10+ packages which are specific
to particular domain. Packages are program modules which extend the Pingalab
customized to particular algorithm or technology.
The MAYA - Simulator provide graphical programming environment for modelling,
simulating and analyzing computational systems. Its primary interface is a graphical
block diagramming tool with set of blocks in palates. It is easily extensible and
customizable via user defined functions or using dynamically loaded modules
written in C++, C or other languages. Moreover the language is quite similar to .m
file, so that most programs are easily portable.

Best Innovative Software Product

Pingalab won The Best Innovative Software Product title in Assocham
Educational Summit & National Excellence Award in association with MHRD,
Government of India and Association of Indian Universities. The award is given by
Honble Minister of State for HRD (Higher Education).
