MINUTES OF THE 1st MEETING OF THE MATHERMATICS GROUP PROJECT HELD

1. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE

No apologies were received.
2. SELECTION OF A REAL-WORLD APPLICATION
2.1 Mr. Samuel Ling Siaw Kieng had proposed two real- world application which is
electrical circuit and mechanical vibrations.
2.2 Ms. Chan Yien Yien suggested to do mechanical vibrations.
2.3 All the board members were agreed mechanical vibrations as our group project
study field.
2.4 Ms. Chan Yien Yien suggested three basic elements involves in mechanical
vibration which is masses, springs and dampers.
3. DISTRIBUTION OF WORKS
3.1 Mr Samuel Ling Siaw Kieng had informed that the project should consists of
cover page, introduction, literature review, methodology, results, conclusion and
minutes.
3.2 Ms. Chan Yien Yien had selected introduction as her in charge part.
3.3 Mr.Samuel Ling Siaw Kieng had chosen to do literature review part and
methodology.
3.4 Mr. Jason Tan Wai Hou had suggested he would in charge in conclusion part and
finalize the results part with Mr. Samuel Ling Siaw Kieng.
3.5 Mr. Kong Dui Dui would in charge in cover page and minutes of meeting part.

4. OTHER MATTERS
There is no other matters.
5. DATE OF NEXT MEETING
It was agreed that the next meeting would be held in UTHM library on Wednesday
22th May 2016 at 1900.
