PREDATOR RANGE OF ANTENNAS
The Predator range of antennas is a multi purpose high band antenna operating
in the 120 to 900MHz. frequency spectrum, which can be used for burglar alarms,
two way radio, etc. It is a 1/2 wave end fed ground free antenna performing in
a similar way to a 5/8 mobile antenna end exhibits a 2 to 3dB gain over a ¼ wave
antenna. This antenna offers a cost effective solution to base station applications,
both indoors as well as outdoors and are fully sealed against any water penetration.
INSTALLATION:
Mount as high as practical facing the receiving station if possible. Secure the
Coaxial cable using staples or cable clips. (take care not to deform the cable in any
way) Remove the whip from the adaptor by loosening the grub screw with the Allen
key supplied. Cut whip to length using the cutting chart below. The antenna is
designed for wall mount applications but could be mounted to the top of a mast
using a u-bolt instead of the Trufix nails supplied. After installation a DC continuity
check is recommended from the outer to the inner of the coaxial cable. An open
circuit will indicate a proper functioning antenna.
