A gardener for a large estate in
northern Italy was escorting a visitor
through the castle and the beautiful,
well-groomed grounds. As the visitor
had lunch with the gardener and his
wife, he commended them for the
beautiful way they were keeping the
gardens. He asked, "By the way, when
was the last time the owner was
here?" The gardener replied, "It was
about ten years ago." The visitor
asked, "Then why do you keep the
gardens in such an immaculate, lovely
manner?" The gardener said, "Because
I'm expecting him to return." The
visitor persisted, "Is he coming next
week?" The gardener replied, "I don't
know when he is coming, but I am
expecting him today."
The Owner of our lives is coming any
day. He's told us that He's coming
back, and while we do not know the
exact day or time, we do know that we
can expect Him at any moment.
Some people will slack off and
procrastinate readying themselves
for His return, but He desires for us
to be ready for Him every day.
When the owner of a company is set
to visit a local branch, the employees
of that branch take special care to
inspect the facilities. Even so, as you
expect the Lord's return any day,
take time each day to inspect your
life.
Are you prepared to meet God? We
will all meet the Lord one day, but
not everyone will be prepared. As
you wait for Jesus' return, take time
to daily inspect your life for any
hidden sin, and keep an open line of
communication with God. Daily focus
your eyes on God and continue living
for Him until your last day on earth.

Where Will I Spend Eternity?

Your relationship to Jesus Christ is central to the answer to that question.
Our Dilemma:
We are, by nature, sinners who stand guilty and condemned before our Creator and Judge. In our
thoughts and actions, we have disobeyed His perfect standards. We are sinners (Romans 3:10, 23).
Our Inability:
We are helpless to save ourselves. Forgiveness is a gift to be received, not a reward that can be earned.
We need a Saviour (Ephesians 2:8-9).
Our Saviour:
Because of His love for us, God provided salvation through His Son, Jesus. He became a member of the
human family, lived without sin, and died on the cross to pay for our sins. Jesus is the Saviour
(Romans 5:8; John 3:16).
Our Response:
Salvation is an individual matter and requires a personal response on the part of anyone that wants to be
saved. All who acknowledge their sin and place their trust in Christ are adopted as God’s children
(Romans 10:9, 13).
