Gracias por haber adquirido esta videocmara de accin Silvercrest SCAA 5.00 A1. La
videocmara de accin es la compaera ideal para todas sus actividades deportivas. Sus
amplios accesorios le permiten usarla bajo las circunstancias ms diversas. El producto le
permite capturar las escenas ms bellas en todo momento.
Uso destinado
Su videocmara es un equipo perteneciente a la categora de productos de la electrnica
de consumo. nicamente ha sido diseado para grabar pelculas y fotografas. Cualquier
empleo diferente al mencionado no corresponde a su uso destinado. El dispositivo solo est
destinado a fines privados y no es para uso industrial o comercial.
Este dispositivo cumple todo lo relacionado en cuanto a la conformidad EC incluyendo la

Para alimentar a la videocmara con energa elctrica, utilice solo la

batera incluida (fabricante: FUJI ELECTRONICS(SHENZHEN) CO.,LTD
/ modelo: FJ-SLB-10A).
Siempre asegrese de lo siguiente:

No exponga el dispositivo a fuentes de calor (p. ej. radiadores).
No exponga el equipo a la radiacin solar ni a la luz artificial intensa.
La videocmara solo debe usarse dentro del rango de temperatura de funcionamiento
permitido de 0C a 35C.
Evite el contacto con aerosoles y agua as como lquidos corrosivos. No utilice el

dispositivo cerca del agua. No lo sumerja ni coloque recipientes con lquidos (jarrones,
vasos, bebidas, etc.) encima o al lado del dispositivo. Las gotas, el roco de agua y la
inmersin solo estn permitidos cuando la videocmara ha sido instalada en la carcasa
sumergible.

No coloque el dispositivo en campos magnticos (p. ej. altavoces).
No coloque fuentes incandescentes (p. ej. velas encendidas) encima o al lado del
dispositivo.
No inserte objetos extraos en el equipo.
No exponga el dispositivo a cambios de temperatura bruscos dado que ello puede

provocar condensacin y cortocircuitos. Si el dispositivo ha quedado expuesto a
variaciones de temperatura fuertes de todas maneras, espere (unas 2 horas) antes de
encenderlo para que pueda adquirir la temperatura ambiental.
No exponga el equipo a golpes o vibraciones.
Evite daar el dispositivo y los accesorios con el fin de evitar peligros derivados. Por lo
tanto, debe realizar inspecciones regulares para asegurarse de que el dispositivo est

derecho a la imagen
Tenga en cuenta que al grabar personas, tanto retratos como de grupos de personas, cada
persona disfruta del derecho de su imagen. La grabacin de menores requiere el
consentimiento de sus padres. Para evitar medidas legales, asegrese de respetar las leyes
del pas en que emplea este producto.
Trfico de carretera
Tenga en cuenta que, si emplea la cmara en un vehculo, sea un automvil, una bicicleta o
incluso si va a pie, puede ser distrado del trfico, con el riesgo de que se produzcan graves
accidentes. Esto representa un riesgo para su salud y puede conllevar medidas judiciales.
Asegrese de respetar las leyes del pas en que emplee este producto.

Nios y personas discapacitadas

Los dispositivos elctricos no son aptos para los nios. Las personas discapacitadas solo
deberan usar equipos elctricos dentro de los lmites de sus capacidades. No permita que

Batera
Inserte la batera respetando la polaridad indicada en la batera y en el compartimento de
la batera. No vierta bateras al fuego. Retire la batera si prev que no va a emplear el
dispositivo durante un tiempo prolongado. Un manejo inapropiado puede causar explosin
o prdida de electrolito.
No intente abrir ni deformar las bateras. De lo contrario puede producirse una prdida de
electrolito, el cual puede causar heridas. Si el electrolito entra en contacto con su piel o los
ojos, lave la zona afectada con abundante agua fresca y acuda inmediatamente a un
mdico.
Este dispositivo debe llevar solamente la batera incluida para evitar sobrecalentamiento,
deformacin de la carcasa, incendio, sacudidas elctricas, explosin y otros peligros.
Las bateras gastadas deben depositarse en centros de recogida habilitados.

Advertencia: peligro de explosin!

Un manejo inapropiado puede causar explosin o prdida de electrolito. No cambie la
batera en un entorno susceptible a explosin. A la hora de insertar o retirar una batera se
pueden producir chispas capaces de causar una explosin. Respete las restricciones de
empleo de dispositivos alimentados por bateras en lugares de peligro tales como
almacenes de combustible. Generalmente, las reas susceptibles a explosin vienen
sealizadas como tales. Entre ellas se encuentran instalaciones de almacenamiento de
combustible como bajo cubierta en un barco, instalaciones con depsitos o tuberas de
combustible, entornos donde el aire contiene sustancias inflamables (p.ej. cereales, polvo
metlico etc.) y reas en las que normalmente est obligado a apagar el motor de su
vehculo.
Proteja el medioambiente. No vierta las pilas o bateras usadas a la basura domstica.
Debe depositarlas en un centro de recogida especial.
Cables
Al desconectar un cable, sujtelo siempre en el enchufe y nunca en el cable. No coloque
objetos pesados o muebles encima de los cables y procure que los cables no sean
doblados (sobre todo en el enchufe) ni daados. No haga nudos con un cable y no lo ate
junto con otros cables. Instale los cables de forma que nadie pueda tropezar y que no
obstruyan el camino.

Resistencia al agua
La videocmara sola no es resistente al agua. Solo puede sumergirse en combinacin con la
carcasa sumergible. La carcasa sumergible es resistente al agua hasta una profundidad de
60 m. Para garantizar su estanqueidad, no emplee la videocmara con la carcasa
sumergible ms de 60 minutos de forma continuada bajo el agua.
La resistencia al agua de esta videocmara se refiere al agua salada y dulce solamente y
no se cumple para productos de limpieza o qumicos ni disolventes o el agua de las piscinas
pblicas. Este tipo de lquidos se debe eliminar inmediatamente de la carcasa sumergible.
Emplee la carcasa sumergible en agua con una temperatura entre 0C y 35C. Evite
vibraciones, golpes y movimientos bruscos bajo el agua. De lo contrario existe el riesgo de
que la carcasa sumergible se abra, aando la videocmara y las grabaciones que contiene.

Antes de empezar
Insertar/retirar una tarjeta de memoria
Para grabar videos y fotos conviene que inserte una tarjeta de memoria microSD. Si no hay
ninguna tarjeta de memoria microSD insertada, todas las grabaciones se almacenarn en la
memoria interna de la videocmara. Dado que la memoria interna es relativamente
pequea, solo podr realizar unas pocas grabaciones. Inserte la tarjeta microSD
suministrada para poder almacenar ms grabaciones. Siga estos pasos:
Apague la videocmara antes de insertar o sacar la tarjeta de memoria.
Inserte una tarjeta de memoria con los contactos orientados hacia el panel anterior del
dispositivo (hacia el objetivo [5]) en el lector para tarjetas microSD [7] hasta que encaje.
Para extraer la tarjeta, presione suavemente en la tarjeta insertada. La tarjeta de memoria
sobresaldr un poco, de forma que podr coger y extraerla.
Emplee solamente tarjetas de memoria de velocidad Speed Class 4 o

ms veloces.

Insertar la batera
Proceda como se indica a continuacin para insertar la batera en la videocmara:
Abra el compartimento de bateras [10]. Para ello, presione en el rea arrugada de la

tapa del compartimento de la batera y deslice la tapa en direccin de la flecha hasta
que la flecha cerrada de la tapa y la flecha abierta de la cmara queden alineadas. A
continuacin, levante la tapa del compartimento de la batera y retrela.
Alinee los contactos de la batera con los contactos en el interior del compartimento de la
batera [10]. Inserte la batera de manera que los bornes [+] y [-] coincidan con los del
compartimiento de la batera [10]. A continuacin, inserte la batera completamente en el
compartimento [10]. Doble el final de la cinta por encima de la batera.

Cierre el compartimento de la batera [10]. Para ello, presione en el rea arrugada de la

tapa del compartimento de la batera y deslice la tapa en direccin de la flecha hasta
que la flecha cerrada de la tapa y la flecha cerrada de la cmara queden alineadas.
Para retirar la batera, abra el compartimento de la batera [10] como

descrito arriba. Tire de la cinta para retirar la batera.

la tenga instalada en los sistemas de montaje ms diversos.

Cargar la batera
Puede recargar la batera de la videocmara con la energa suministrada por el puerto USB
de un ordenador. Para ello tendr que conectar el cable USB suministrado.
Inserte la batera en la videocmara como descrito ms arriba.
Conecte el cable USB a la videocmara y a un puerto USB libre de un ordenador. Inserte el

conector pequeo del cable USB al puerto de USB/carga [13] de la videocmara y el
conector grande a un puerto USB libre de su ordenador.
Durante la carga puede dejar la videocmara apagada. Mantenga pulsado el botn de
encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2] durante tres segundos para apagar la
videocmara.
El indicador de estado [6] parpadea en naranja durante la carga. Cuando la carga haya
terminado, el indicador de estado [6] se apaga.
Algunos ordenadores no suministran ninguna tensin de salida en los
puertos USB si estn apagados. Si observa que la batera de la
videocmara no se carga, encienda el ordenador.

Adems de las opciones anteriormente descritas, puede conectar la
videocmara a un adaptador de alimentacin USB externo (no incluido)
para cargar la batera. Para ello tendr que conectar el cable USB
suministrado. Puede adquirir un adaptador de alimentacin USB
adecuado de 5 V y por lo menos 1 A en cualquier tienda de electrnica.
Si emplea un adaptador de alimentacin externo, tundra que conectarlo
a una toma elctrica fcilmente accesible para poder desconectarlo
rpidamente en caso de emergencia.
Ajustar la fecha y la hora

Para ajustar la fecha y la hora:
Mantenga pulsado el botn de encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2] durante por

lo menos 3 segundos para encender la videocmara. La videocmara se iniciar con el
modo de grabacin de vdeo de forma automtica.
Para abrir el men, pulse cinco veces el botn encendido/apagado/modo operativo
[2].
Si la pantalla se encuentra atenuada en modo de ahorro de energa,

pulse el botn de encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2] para
reactivarla.
Pulse el botn de grabacin [9] para abrir el men. Aparecer el men siguiente:

El men MORE queda resaltado. Pulse el botn de grabacin [9] para abrir el men
MORE.
Pulse varias veces el botn de encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2] hasta que
quede resaltado el men TIME.
Pulse el botn de grabacin [9] para abrir el men TIME.
A continuacin podr ajustar en secuencia el ao, el mes, el da, las horas y los minutos.
Pulse el botn de grabacin [9] para aumentar el valor paso por paso. Pulse el botn
de encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2] para confirmar cada una de las entradas.
Despus de haber introducido todos los ajustes, pulse el botn de
encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2] para seleccionar OK.
Pulse el botn de grabacin [9] para confirmar.

Para salir del men MORE, pulse varias veces el botn de encendido/apagado/modo
operativo [2] hasta que quede resaltada la opcin EXIT y luego pulse el botn de
grabacin [9] para confirmar.
Pulse el botn de encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2] para seleccionar un modo

operativo.

Primeros pasos
Encender/apagar la videocmara
Mantenga pulsado el botn de encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2] durante por lo
menos 3 segundos para encender o apagar la videocmara. Durante el proceso de
inicializacin, el indicador de estado [3] se ilumina de color verde.

Modo secuencial

Para pasar al modo Secuencia (BURST), pulse dos veces el botn de

Modo Time lapse

Para pasar al modo Time lapse (LAPSE), pulse tres veces el botn de

Para pasar al modo Temporizador (TIMER), pulse cuatro veces el botn de

lentamente en rojo y naranja al principio y luego rpidamente.
La foto se captura 10 segundos despus activar el temporizador.

En el men puede personalizar los ajustes de la videocmara y los parmetros de
grabacin.

Para abrir el men, pulse cinco veces el botn encendido/apagado/modo operativo

Borrar grabaciones/formatear la tarjeta de memoria

ADVERTENCIA: Al borrar/formatear, todas las pelculas y fotos
guardadas se borrarn definitivamente y no se podrn recuperar.
Asegrese, por lo tanto, de realizar copias de seguridad en otro soporte
de todos los datos que desee conservar.
Para borrar vdeos o fotos de la memoria interna o para formatear
memoria interna, primero tiene que retirar la tarjeta de memoria
insertada (si la hubiera).
En este men puede borrar grabaciones guardadas o formatear la memoria interna o la
tarjeta de memoria. Siga estos pasos:
quede resaltado el men DELETE. Pulse el botn de grabacin [9] para abrir el men
DELETE.

Elimina el ltimo vdeo o la ltima foto

Ajustar el retardo del apagado automtico

En este men puede personalizar el retardo del apagado automtico. Puede configurar la
videocmara para que se apague automticamente despus de un cierto tiempo con el fin
de ahorrar energa. Si no pulsa ningn botn durante el tiempo establecido, la videocmara
se apagar automticamente. Para ajustar el retardo del apagado automtico:

quede resaltado el men AUTO OFF. Pulse el botn de grabacin [9] para abrir el
men AUTO OFF.

opcin. Puede escoger uno de los ajustes siguientes: 1 MIN, 3 MIN, 5 MIN, 10
MIN, 30 MIN, 60 MIN y OFF.
Seleccione un retardo tras el cual la
videocmara se apaga automticamente si
no se efecta ninguna manipulacin
durante este periodo. Seleccione OFF

Conectar un mando a distancia (no incluido en el paquete)

Este men sirve para conectar la videocmara a un mando a distancia (no incluido). El
mando a distancia sirve para iniciar o detener grabaciones de videos y para tomar fotos.
Puede pedir el mando a distancia y los consumibles (p.ej. las almohadillas
adhesivas) en nuestra lnea de atencin posventa o por correo electrnico
(vase pgina 73).
Para conectar el mando a distancia a la videocmara, proceda como se indica a
continuacin:

quede resaltado el men BINDING. Pulse el botn de grabacin [9] para abrir el men
BINDING.
La videocmara buscar el mando a distancia durante 30 segundos y lo indicar en la

pantalla [1] como sigue:
En los prximos 30 segundos, pulse ambos botones (Video y Photo) del mando a
distancia.

Una vez establecida la conexin entre la videocmara y el mando a distancia, durante
unos instantes se ilumina el indicador LED rojo del mando a distancia.
Despus puede empezar a controlar la videocmara con el mando a distancia. Pulse el

botn [icono del crculo] del mando a distancia para iniciar o detener la grabacin de un
video. Pulse el botn [icono de cmara] del mando a distancia para tomar una foto. Puede
llevar el mando a distancia confortablemente en la mueca, igual que una pulsera,
disfrutando de una mxima flexibilidad para todas sus actividades.
Para controlar la fotografa con el mando a distancia, primero tiene que
seleccionar el modo operativo deseado (Foto, Secuencia, Time lapse o
Temporizador) en la videocmara. En el modo operativo time lapse, sin
embargo, el mando a distancia solo tomar una foto. Para grabar
videos con el mando a distancia, seleccione el modo operativo Vdeo en
la videocmara. En el modo operativo Vdeo incluso puede pulsar el
botn [icono de cmara] del mando a distancia para tomar una foto.
El mando a distancia es resistente al agua hasta 60 m de profundidad. Para garantizar su
estanqueidad, no emplee el mando a distancia ms de 60 minutos de forma continuada
bajo el agua.
La resistencia al agua se refiere al agua salada y dulce solamente y no se cumple para
productos de limpieza o qumicos ni disolventes o el agua de las piscinas pblicas. Este tipo
de lquidos se debe eliminar inmediatamente del mando a distancia. Emplee el mando a
distancia en agua con una temperatura entre 0C y 35C.

Restablecer los valores predeterminados

En este men puede restablecer los ajustes predeterminados de su videocmara. Siga estos
pasos:

quede resaltado el men DEFAULT. Pulse el botn de grabacin [9] para abrir el men
DEFAULT.
Tendr que volver a confirmar el restablecimiento de los valores predeterminados. Si lo

desea, tambin puede cancelar el proceso. Pulse el botn de
encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2] para seleccionar una opcin. Puede escoger
una de las siguientes opciones:
Confirmar (restablecer la configuracin
predeterminada de fbrica)
Cancelar (EXIT [salir])

Conectar un micrfono
Para obtener unas grabaciones de sonido de mejor calidad, puede conectar un micrfono
externo a la toma para micrfono [14] de su videocmara. En cuanto conecte un micrfono
externo, el micrfono interno de la videocmara quedar desactivado.
Ver las grabaciones en un televisor

Puede visualizar las grabaciones realizadas en un televisor. Para ello, el televisor debe
poseer un conector HDMI.
Conecte el cable HDMI a la videocmara y a un puerto HDMI del televisor. Inserte el

conector pequeo del cable HDMI al puerto de HDMI [8] de la videocmara y el conector
grande a un puerto HDMI libre de su televisor.
Encienda su televisor y seleccione la entrada HDMI a la que tiene conectada la
videocmara. Mantenga pulsado el botn de encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2]
durante por lo menos 3 segundos para encender la videocmara. La videocmara se
inicializa, en su pantalla se indica PLAYBACK y al cabo de unos segundos aparecer la
siguiente imagen en la pantalla del televisor:

Este icono indica si hay una tarjeta de memoria insertada o no. El icono es blanco si hay
una tarjeta de memoria insertada y gris si no hay ninguna.
Tipo de grabacin
Aqu puede seleccionar el tipo de grabaciones que desee ver en la vista de miniaturas.
Pulse el botn de encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2] para alternar entre las opciones
disponibles. Puede escoger una de las siguientes opciones:
Mostrar grabaciones de vdeo solamente
Mostrar grabaciones fotogrficas solamente
Mostrar grabaciones de vdeo y fotogrficas
Pulse el botn de grabacin [9] para seleccionar un tipo de grabacin.
Vista de miniaturas de las grabaciones
Muestra las grabaciones en la vista de miniaturas. Pulse el botn de
encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2] para resaltar una grabacin. La grabacin
resaltada aparece con un marco en la vista de miniaturas. Si ha resaltado un vdeo, a la
izquierda tambin se indicar su resolucin. Pulse el botn de grabacin [9] para mostrar el
vdeo o la foto resaltados a pantalla completa.
Pulse el botn de encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2] para alternar entre las
grabaciones en la vista a pantalla completa. Pulse el botn de grabacin [9] para iniciar la
reproduccin de un vdeo. Pulse el botn de grabacin [9] durante la reproduccin del
vdeo o en la vista a pantalla completa para pasar a la seleccin de vdeos/fotos/vdeos +
fotos.
A continuacin puede pulsar el botn de encendido/apagado/modo operativo [2] para
alternar entre los modos de solo vdeos, solo fotos o vdeos y fotos.

Transferir grabaciones al ordenador

Existen dos formas de copiar grabaciones de la videocmara al ordenador:
conectando la videocmara a un ordenador a travs del cable USB

insertando la tarjeta de memoria en un lector de tarjetas
Tenga especial cuidado al renombrar los archivos y las carpetas. NO
intente cambiar desde el ordenador el nombre de la carpeta o de los
archivos almacenados en el dispositivo. De lo contrario, no podr
reproducir ninguno de ellos con la videocmara.
Una vez copiados los archivos y las carpetas al ordenador, puede
renombrar o editarlos en l.
Conectar la videocmara al ordenador
Conecte el cable USB a la videocmara y a un puerto USB libre de un ordenador. Inserte el

conector pequeo del cable USB al puerto de USB/carga [13] de la videocmara y el
conector grande a un puerto USB libre de su ordenador. Encienda la videocmara (si
estuviera apagada). El ordenador preparar un disco extrable en el cual se encuentran sus
grabaciones.

Utilizar un lector de tarjetas

Si su ordenador viene equipado con un lector de tarjetas que admite tarjetas de memoria
microSD o SD, podr leer el contenido de la tarjeta directamente. Retire la tarjeta de
memoria de la videocmara apagada.
Inserte la tarjeta microSD directamente en el lector para tarjetas microSD o en el

adaptador de tarjetas SD.
Si va a emplear el adaptador de tarjetas SD, insrtelo en el lector de tarjetas de su
ordenador (generalmente identificado como SD/MMC).
El PC agregar el contenido de la tarjeta bajo la letra de la unidad de disco
correspondiente al lector de tarjetas en Mi PC.
En el ordenador, abra Mi PC y haga doble clic en la unidad de disco que representa
al lector de tarjetas.
Todos los archivos grabados se encuentran en una subcarpeta de la carpeta "DCIM"
en esta unidad de disco.
Ahora puede copiar los archivos grabados de la cmara a una carpeta del disco duro
de su ordenador.
Proteger el adaptador de tarjetas de memoria SD contra escritura

El adaptador de tarjetas de memoria SD lleva una pestaa para proteger la tarjeta contra
escritura. Con la proteccin activada (vase la figura abajo a la derecha), solamente podr
ver las imgenes y pelculas grabadas en la tarjeta y no podr borrar ni editarlas.

Desactive la proteccin contra escritura (vase la figura arriba a la izquierda) si desea

borrar o editar los videos o las fotos almacenados en la tarjeta. Luego reinserte el
adaptador de tarjetas SD en el lector para tarjetas SD de su ordenador.

El software incluido sirve para editar y reproducir sus grabaciones.
Para ms informacin sobre el manejo del software tambin puede abrir la
ayuda en lnea del mismo. Tenga en cuenta que la actualizacin de los
programas puede suponerle un gasto adicional.

Instalar el software
El software suministrado est contenido en el CD incluido. Para instalar el software, antes
tiene que conectar la cmara de vdeo al ordenador con el cable USB.
Conecte la videocmara al ordenador con el cable USB. Luego, encienda la

videocmara.
Inserte el CD-ROM incluido en la unidad de CD o DVD de su ordenador.
La instalacin se iniciar automticamente. En ese caso, siga las instrucciones en
pantalla para instalar el software.
Si el programa de instalacin no se ejecutara automticamente o si
hubiese cancelado la instalacin accidentalmente, puede volver a
ejecutarlo iniciando el archivo Start HDCam.exe manualmente.
Desinstalar el software
Para desinstalar el software, emplee el Asistente de desinstalacin que se encuentra en el
Panel de control de su sistema operativo.

Importar grabaciones
Para archivar contenidos grabados puede emplear la funcin Importar. Las grabaciones se
copiarn a su ordenador. Una vez importadas las grabaciones, ya no tendr que conectar
la videocmara para reproducirlas.
Seleccione todas las grabaciones que desee importar de la unidad de disco actualmente
seleccionada y haga clic en Importar en la barra de herramientas inferior.
Se abrir una seleccin con varias opciones. Para importar las grabaciones seleccionadas,
escoja la opcin Importar escenas seleccionadas. Puede importar todas o solamente las
nuevas grabaciones.
Si fuera necesario, especifique el nombre de una carpeta o utilice el nombre
predeterminado.
Haga clic en Aceptar para confirmar.
Segn el nmero de grabaciones, el proceso de copia de archivos

puede tardar un rato.
Tras importarlas, las grabaciones siguen almacenadas en la
cmara no se borran automticamente con la importacin.

Hay varias maneras de abrir las grabaciones importadas. En las bibliotecas podr
ordenarlas por nombre de carpeta o por fecha.

Crear un disco AVCHD

AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) es un nuevo
estndar digital que ofrece una resolucin de imagen y calidad de
sonido excepcionales. Este formato se puede grabar en discos
DVD grabables y se pueden reproducir con reproductores de DVD
compatibles. Sin duda, es una buena opcin para cualquier
televisor de alta definicin.
No todos los reproductores son capaces de reproducir discos
AVCHD grabados.
Inserte un disco DVDR, DVDR DL, DVDRW o DVD-RAM en su unidad de DVD.

Haga clic en el icono Crear disco AVCHD
para abrir el espacio de trabajo de
composicin de discos.

practicar los deportes y actividades ms variados.
Carcasa sumergible
La carcasa sumergible le permite utilizar la videocmara bajo el agua o cuando est
practicando deportes acuticos. Los botones de la videocmara se dejan manipular de
manera habitual cuando est instalada en la carcasa sumergible. Antes de empezar a
grabar, retire la tapa del objetivo de la carcasa sumergible. Inserte la videocmara en la
carcasa sumergible como sigue:
Abra el cierre y luego abra el mecanismo de sujecin.
Abra la carcasa sumergible e inserte la videocmara.

Coloque un cojinete antiempaadura a la izquierda y otro a la derecha
entre la videocmara y la carcasa sumergible. stos evitan que la
carcasa sumergible se empae cuando la emplee bajo el agua.
Los cojinetes antiempaadura se pueden reutilizar hasta 4 veces. Puede
secarlos dejndolos 5 minutos en el horno calentado a 150 C. Cuando
no los emplee, guarde los cojinetes antiempaadura en una caja
hermticamente cerrada.
Cierre la carcasa sumergible, el mecanismo de sujecin y el cierre.
Tenga en cuenta lo siguiente cuando emplee la videocmara bajo el

agua o est practicando deportes acuticos.
Asegrese de que la carcasa sumergible no presente daos visibles.

Asegrese de que el mecanismo de sujecin de la carcasa sumergible est firmemente
cerrado y de que entre la junta de goma y la carcasa no haya polvo o arena.
Asegrese de que emplee el panel posterior sumergible el panel posterior abierto
no es sumergible! Para volver a colocar el panel posterior, consulte el captulo
siguiente Reinstalar el panel posterior.
Panel posterior sumergible (con adaptador)

Efecte esta verificacin al interior solamente y nunca en la playa o en el agua.
La carcasa sumergible es resistente al agua hasta una profundidad de 60 m.
Para garantizar su estanqueidad, no emplee la carcasa sumergible ms de 60 minutos

de forma continuada bajo el agua.
Emplee la carcasa sumergible en agua con una temperatura entre 0C y 35C.
La resistencia al agua de la carcasa sumergible se refiere al agua salada y dulce

solamente y no se cumple para productos de limpieza o qumicos ni disolventes o el
agua de las piscinas pblicas. Este tipo de lquidos se debe eliminar inmediatamente.
Evite vibraciones, golpes y movimientos bruscos bajo el agua. De lo contrario existe el

riesgo de que la carcasa sumergible se abra.
Limpiar despus del uso subacutico

Limpie la carcasa sumergible cada vez que la haya empelado bajo el agua.
Asegrese de que la carcasa sumergible no presente daos visibles.
Despus de haber usado la carcasa sumergible, lvela con agua del grifo. Para ello,
sumrjala unos 10 minutos en agua del grifo para eliminar restos de sal, por ejemplo.
Despus emplee un pao suave para secar la carcasa sumergible.
Coloque la carcasa sumergible en un lugar fresco y bien ventilado para que pueda
secarse. No la exponga a la radiacin solar directa.
Antes de abrir la carcasa sumergible, espere hasta que se haya secado por completo.
Tenga a mano un pao absorbente cuando abra la carcasa sumergible y elimine toda
el agua y cualquier suciedad.

Reinstalar el panel posterior

Puede utilizar la carcasa sumergible con dos paneles posteriores diferentes. Emplee el panel
posterior sumergible para utilizar el dispositivo bajo el agua o cuando est practicando
deportes acuticos. El panel posterior abierto solo se debe utilizar cuando desee grabar
videos con sonido. Tenga en cuenta que la carcasa no es sumergible cuando tiene instalado
el panel posterior abierto.
Panel posterior sumergible (con adaptador)
Para sustituir el panel posterior, proceda como se indica a continuacin:
Abra el cierre y luego abra el mecanismo de sujecin.

Pase la cinta de velcro por las guas del adaptador. Asegrese de que la parte lisa de
la cinta quede en el interior. A continuacin, pase el velcro por la lengeta y fije el

Si ve que el velcro con lengeta no sirve para la aplicacin actual,

emplee el velcro sin lengeta.

Puede emplear el soporte inclinable junto con una base adhesiva, por ejemplo, para fijar la
carcasa sumergible en una superficie plana o curvada. Una base plana y una curvada se
incluyen con la videocmara. Fije el soporte inclinable y la base adhesiva en la carcasa
sumergible como sigue:
Inserte el soporte inclinable en el adaptador hasta que encaje con un clic. Despus
podr fijar el soporte inclinable con una base adhesiva. Para ello, inserte el soporte
inclinable en la base adhesiva hasta que el soporte inclinable encaje con un clic.
Para fijar la base adhesiva en una superficie, retire la cinta roja. A continuacin, pegue
la base adhesiva en la superficie previamente limpiada. La parte adhesiva se puede
reutilizar varias veces y, por lo tanto, puede despegarse de la superficie de montaje.
Tape la parte adhesiva con la cinta roja cuando no vaya a emplear la base adhesiva.
Para orientar la videocmara, afloje el tornillo de fijacin de la base inclinable. Gire la
base inclinable a la posicin deseada y vuelva a apretar el tornillo.

Presione en el clip de la base adhesiva para poder retirar el soporte inclinable de la
base adhesiva. Puede dejar la base adhesiva montada en el lugar de instalacin si
desea volver a utilizar la videocmara del mismo modo.
Presione en el clip del soporte inclinable para poder retirar el soporte inclinable de la
carcasa sumergible.
Para garantizar una buena fijacin, la superficie de montaje limpia debe
estar libre de polvo, aceite y grasa.
Sustituir la almohadilla adhesiva

La videocmara incluye tres almohadillas adhesivas de recambio. Si la fuerza adhesiva de
una de las bases adhesivas cede, puede sustituir la almohadilla adhesiva. Siga estos pasos:
Retire completamente la almohadilla adhesiva de la base adhesiva.

Retire la cinta blanca de la almohadilla adhesiva. ste es el lado que quedar pegado
de forma permanente.
Despus, fije la almohadilla adhesiva en la base adhesiva.
Para garantizar una buena fijacin, la superficie de montaje limpia debe
estar libre de polvo, aceite y grasa.

Soporte para bicicleta

Puede emplear el soporte para bicicleta si quiere montar la carcasa sumergible en el marco
de una bicicleta o en otro elemento tubular. Para instalar el soporte para bicicleta, proceda
como se indica a continuacin:
Abra el soporte. Para ello, afloje los tornillos tanto como sea necesario para poder
retirar el tornillo ubicado en el lateral del clip de la pieza inferior.
Gire la pieza inferior hacia el otro lado.
Coloque la pieza superior en un tubo y reinstale la pieza inferior.
Vuelva a instalar el tornillo en la pieza inferior.
Para fijar el soporte encima del tubo, apriete los tornillos.
A continuacin puede montar la videocmara con la carcasa sumergible y el soporte

inclinable en el soporte para bicicleta. Lea la seccin Soporte inclinable a partir de
la pgina 66.

Adaptador para otros sistemas de montaje

La videocmara tambin incluye un adaptador para otros sistemas de montaje. Puede
utilizar este adaptador para fijar la videocmara en otros sistemas de montaje. El

Deslice el adaptador para otros sistemas de montaje en el adaptador de la carcasa

sumergible hasta que encaje con un clic. Ahora podr utilizar otros tipos de sistemas
de montaje estndar.
Presione en el clip del adaptador para otros sistemas de montaje para poder retirar el
adaptador para otros sistemas de montaje de la carcasa sumergible.
Resolucin de problemas
Los problemas ms frecuentes los puede resolver Usted mismo orientndose en la tabla
siguiente. Si no consigue resolver el problema con las soluciones sugeridas, pngase en
contacto con nuestra Lnea Directa (vase pgina 73). No intente reparar el producto por
su cuenta. No abra la carcasa de la videocmara, dado que no contiene ninguna pieza
que requiera un mantenimiento por parte del usuario.

Mantenimiento / limpieza
Mantenimiento
Una reparacin o un mantenimiento sern necesarios cuando el dispositivo o su carcasa se
hayan daado de cualquier forma, si objetos han entrado en la unidad, si el aparato no
funciona normalmente o si se ha cado. Si observa humo, ruidos u olores extraos, apague
el equipo inmediatamente y retire la batera. En estos casos, deje de utilizar el equipo y
djelo comprobar por un tcnico autorizado. Toda reparacin o mantenimiento deben ser
efectuados por tcnicos autorizados.
Limpieza
Para limpiarlo, emplee un pao suave y libre de pelusas.
No emplee agentes de limpieza ni detergentes o disolventes, dado que pueden penetrar
en la carcasa y producir daos permanentes en el producto.

Normativa medioambiental e informacin sobre el desecho

Los dispositivos sealizados con este smbolo estn sujetos a la Directiva
Europea 2002/96/EC. Todo dispositivo elctrico o electrnico debe ser
desechado por separado de la basura domstica y en los centros de
recogida municipales.
Participe activamente en la proteccin del medioambiente y de su
propia salud respetando las normas de desecho de los aparatos usados.

ideal companion for your sports activities. Its extensive accessories allow you to use the
action camcorder for the most different scenarios. It allows you to capture wonderful
memories at any time.
Intended Use
Your camcorder is a Consumer Electronics device and is designed exclusively for recording
movies and pictures. Any use other than that mentioned above does not correspond to the
intended use. The device may only be used for private purposes, not for industrial or
commercial ones.
This device fulfils all relevant standards and directives relating to CE Conformity. If any

Children and persons with disabilities

Electrical devices are not suitable for children. People with disabilities should only use
electrical devices within the limits of their abilities. Do not allow children or persons with

Battery
Always insert the battery pack with the correct polarity. The correct polarity is labelled on the
battery and inside the battery compartment. Never throw a battery into fire. Remove the
battery pack if you do not plan to use the camcorder for a while. Improper use could cause
explosions or leaks.
Batteries must never be opened or deformed. Otherwise any leaking battery fluids may
cause injuries. If the battery fluid becomes in contact with your skin or eyes, rinse with plenty
of fresh water immediately and seek medical aid.
Only operate this device with the battery pack supplied in order to avoid overheating,
deformation of the casing, fire, electric shocks, explosion and other hazards.

Improper use could cause explosions or leaks. Never replace the battery in an explosionsensitive environment. While inserting or removing the battery a spark may be produced that
could cause an explosion. Please head the usage restrictions of prohibitions regarding

Cables

Water-resistance
The camcorder itself is not water-resistant. It can only be used under water in combination
with its water-resistant case. The water-resistant case is water-resistant up to a depth of 60 m.
To guarantee its water resistance, do not use the camcorder with the water-resistant case for
longer than 60 minutes under water at a time.
The water resistance of this camcorder applies to salt and fresh water only. It does not apply
to any cleaners, chemicals, solvents or water in public swimming pools. Liquids of this kind
must be wiped off the water-resistant case immediately. Only use the water-resistant case in
water of temperatures of between 0C and 35C. Avoid excessive vibration or shaking
under water. Otherwise there is a risk that the water-resistant case opens. This can damage
the camcorder and any recordings.

Before you start

Inserting/removing a memory card
You should insert a microSD memory card to record your videos and pictures. If there is no
microSD memory card inserted, all recordings will be stored on the internal camcorder
memory. As the internal memory is quite small, only a few recording may be stored. Insert
the supplied microSD in order to be able to store more recordings. Proceed as follows:
Power the camcorder off before you insert or remove a memory card.
Insert the memory card with the contacts facing towards the front of the device (towards
the lens [5]) into the microSD card slot [7] until it clicks in place. To remove the memory
card, gently press on the inserted card. The memory card will protrude a little so that you
can get a hold of it and remove it.
Only use Speed Class 4 or faster memory cards.

Inserting the battery pack

Insert the battery pack as follows into the camcorder:
Open the battery compartment [10]. To do so, press on the ribbed area of the battery
compartment cover and slide it into the direction of the arrow until the closed arrow on the
cover and the opened arrow on the camera housing are aligned. Next lift the battery
compartment cover to remove it.
Align the contacts of the battery pack with the contacts in the battery compartment [10].
Make sure that the [+] and [-] contact markings on the battery and in the compartment
[10] match. Next fully insert the battery pack into the battery compartment [10]. Make
sure to place the end of the strip over the battery pack.

compartment cover and slide it into the direction of the arrow until the closed arrow on the
cover and the closed arrow on the camera housing are aligned.
To remove the battery pack, open the battery compartment [10] as

Charging the Battery

It is possible to recharge the camcorder battery pack via the USB power of a computer. To
do this, you will need the USB cable supplied.
Insert the battery pack as described above into the camcorder.
Use the USB cable to connect the camcorder to an available USB port on a computer. Insert
the small plug of the supplied USB cable into the USB/charge port of your camcorder [13]
and the large plug into a USB port on your computer.
You can keep the camcorder powered off while charging. Press and hold the On/Off/Mode
button [2] for three seconds to switch the camcorder off.
The status LED [6] flashes orange during charging. When the charging process is complete,
the status LED [6] goes out.
Some computers do not supply USB power while they are turned off. If
the camcorder does not charge, make sure your computer is switched on.

In addition to the options above, you can also connect the camcorder to
an external USB power adapter (not supplied) in order to charge the
battery pack. To do this, you will need the USB cable supplied. You can
purchase a suitable 5V USB power adapter with at least 1A from any
electronics retail outlet.
When using an external power adapter, it must be connected to an
easily accessible wall outlet in order to be able to disconnect it quickly in
case of an emergency.
Setting the date and time

To set the date and time:
Press and hold the On/Off/Mode button [2] for at least 3 seconds to switch the
camcorder on. The camcorder initialises in Video mode automatically.
To open the menu, press the On/Off/Mode button [2] five times.
If the display is in dimmed power-saving mode, press the On/Off/Mode

button [2] once to toggle to active mode.
Press the record button [9] to open the menu. The following menu is shown:

The MORE menu will be highlighted. Press the record button [9] to open the MORE
menu.
Press the On/Off/Mode button [2] multiple times until the TIME menu is highlighted.

Next you can set the year, month, day, hours and minutes in sequence. Press the record
button [9] to increase the value stepwise. Press the On/Off/Mode button [2] to confirm

Self-timer
To switch to Self-timer mode (TIMER), press the On/Off/Mode button [2] four times.
Press the record button [9] to enable the self-timer. After the self-timer has been enabled,
the LED [3] and LEDs [11, 15 and 6] flash slowly at the beginning and then fast red and
orange.
The photo is taken 10 seconds after the self-timer is enabled.

Deleting recordings/formatting the memory card

WARNING: During deleting/formatting all movies and pictures saved
will be deleted and cannot be restored. Make sure that all recordings
you want to keep have been backed up to a different medium.
To delete videos or photos from the internal memory or to format the
internal memory, you first have to remove the memory card (if one is
inserted).
This menu lets you delete any recordings or format the memory card or internal memory.
Proceed as follows:
Press the On/Off/Mode button [2] multiple times until the DELETE menu is highlighted.
Press the record button [9] to open the DELETE menu.
Press the On/Off/Mode button [2] to select an option. The following options are
available:
Erases the last-recorded video or photo.
Erases all files stored on the memory card or

Customising the auto power-off delay

This menu allows you to customise the automatic power-off delay. You can get the
camcorder to power off automatically after a certain time to save battery. If no buttons are
pressed during the preset time, the camcorder powers off automatically. To adjust the
automatic power-off delay, proceed as follows:
Press the On/Off/Mode button [2] multiple times until the AUTO OFF menu is
highlighted. Press the record button [9] to open the AUTO OFF menu.
available: 1 MIN, 3 MIN, 5 MIN, 10 MIN, 30 MIN, 60 MIN and OFF.
Select a delay time after which the
camcorder powers off automatically if no
operation has been made in the meantime.

Connecting a remote control (not included in the package)

This menu lets you connect a remote control (not supplied) to your camcorder. A remote
control lets you start or stop video recordings and take pictures.
You can order the remote control and consumables like adhesive pads
from our hotline or by e-mail (see page 145).
To connect the remote control to the camcorder, proceed as follows:
Press the On/Off/Mode button [2] multiple times until the BINDING menu is
highlighted. Press the record button [9] to open the BINDING menu.
The camcorder will start seeking the remote control for 30 seconds and indicates it on
the display [1] as follows:
Within the next 30 seconds, press both buttons (Video and Photo button) on the remote
control

After the remote control has been successfully connected to the camcorder the red
remote control LED will light up shortly.
Now you can control your camcorder via the remote control. Press the [circle icon] button on
the remote control to start or stop a video recording. Press the [camera icon] button on the
remote control to take a picture. You can wear the remote control comfortably like a watch
on your wrist giving you convenience and flexibility for all your activities.
To control photography via the remote control you first have to set the
camcorder to the desired mode (Photo, Burst, Time-lapse or Self-timer). In
time-lapse mode, however, the remote control allows taking one picture
only. To use the remote control to record videos, set the camcorder to
Video mode. In Video mode you can even take picture by pressing the
[camera icon] button on the remote control.
The remote control is water-resistant up to a depth of 60 m. To guarantee its waterresistance, do not use the remote control for longer than 60 minutes under water at a time.
The water-resistance applies to salt and fresh water only. It does not apply to any cleaners,
chemicals, solvents or water in public swimming pools. Liquids of this kind must be wiped off
the remote control immediately. Only use the remote control in water of temperatures of
between 0C and 35C.

Resetting to factory defaults

In this menu you can restore the factory-default settings of your camcorder. Proceed as
follows:
Press the On/Off/Mode button [2] multiple times until the DEFAULT menu is highlighted.

Connecting a microphone
For best-quality audio recording you can connect an external microphone to the camcorders
microphone jack [14]. The internal microphone of your camcorder will be disabled
automatically when you connect an external microphone.
Viewing recordings on a television

You can view your recordings on a television. The television needs to have an HDMI
connector.
Use the HDMI cable to connect the camcorder to an available HDMI port on a TV. Insert the
small plug of the supplied HDMI cable into the HDMI port [8] of your camcorder and the
large plug into a HDMI port on your TV.
Power on your TV and select the HDMI input where your camcorder is connected to. Press
and hold the On/Off/Mode button [2] for at least 3 seconds to switch the camcorder on.
The camcorder initialises and the display indicates PLAYBACK, and after a few seconds
the TV screen will show the following picture:

Memory card
This icon indicates whether a memory card has been inserted or not. The icon is white if a
memory card has been inserted and grey if not.
Type of recording
Here you can select what recordings shall be shown in thumbnail view. Press the
On/Off/Mode button [2] to toggle between the options. The following options are
available:
Show video recordings only
Show photo recordings only
Show video and photo recordings
Press the record button [9] to select a recording type.
Recordings thumbnail view
This displays the recordings in thumbnail view. Press the On/Off/Mode button [2] to
highlight a recording. The highlighted recording appears with a frame in thumbnail view. If
you have highlighted a video, its resolution will also be indicated on the left. Press the record
button [9] to show the highlighted video or picture in full-screen mode.
Press the On/Off/Mode button [2] to toggle between the recordings in fullscreen view. Press
the record button [9] to start playing back a video. Press the record button [9] during video
playback or in picture fullscreen mode to toggle to the video/photo/video+photo selection.
Next you can use the On/Off/Mode button [2] to toggle between video only, photo only or
video plus photo display mode.

Transferring recordings to a computer

There are two ways of copying recordings from the camcorder to a computer:
by connecting the camcorder to a computer via the USB cable

by inserting the memory card into a card reader
Be careful when renaming any folders and files. Do NOT try to change
the folder or file names stored on the device from the computer or you
may not be able to read any files contained here on your camcorder.
Once you have copied your files or folders to the computer, you can
rename or edit them on the computer.
Connecting the camcorder to a computer
Use the USB cable to connect the camcorder to an available USB port on a computer. Insert
the small plug of the supplied USB cable into the USB/charge port of your camcorder [13]
and the large plug into a USB port on your computer. Switch the camcorder on (if it is
powered off). The computer will setup a removable disk that stores to your recordings.

Using a card reader

If your computer has a card reader which is compatible with microSD or SD memory cards,
you can read the contents of the memory card directly. Remove the memory card from the
camcorder while it is switched off.
Insert the microSD card directly into the microSD card reader or into the SD card
adapter.
If you are using the SD card adapter, insert it into the SD card reader on your computer
(normally labelled SD/MMC).
The PC will add the memory card contents under the drive letter representing the card
reader in My Computer.
Open My Computer on your PC and double-click on the drive representing the card
reader.
All recorded files can be found in a subfolder of the folder DCIM on this drive.
Now you can copy the recorded files from the camcorder into a folder of your choice
on the computers hard disk.
Write-protecting the SD card adapter

The SD card adapter comes with a write protection tab. When write-protection is enabled
(see the figure below right) you can only view existing videos and pictures, not delete or edit
them.

videos or pictures. Then reinsert the SD card adapter into the SD card reader on your

The software supplied allows you to edit and play your recordings.
For more information about using the software you can also use the
software help function. Please note that programme updates may incur
extra costs to you.

Installing the software

The software provided is on the CD-ROM supplied. To install the software, you first need to
connect the camcorder to the computer using the USB cable.
Use the USB cable to connect the camcorder to your computer. Then switch the
camcorder on.
Insert the CD-ROM supplied into the CD or DVD drive of your computer.
The CD will launch automatically. Then follow the on-screen instructions to install.
If the setup programme does not start automatically or you have
cancelled it accidentally, you can launch the file Start
HDCam.exe manually.
Uninstalling the software

To uninstall the software, please use the Uninstall Wizard found in the Control Panel of your
operating system.

on.

From the navigation (4), select the drive for which you want to display the contents.
Click on the star icon
on the top of the object (film strip) to rate the current
recording.
Click on the info icon
to show further information on the current recording. Here you
can insert a comment that can further be used for keyword searches.
To display a recording in a new window, double-click on it. In the display window, click
the arrow icons , or use the arrow keys on your keyboard to display the previous
or next recording.
To view a video recording, double-click on it. The video window contains Stop , Play
and Pause

pressing OK in order to delete the recording.
Importing recordings
You can use the Import function to archive your recordings. The recordings are copied to
your computer. Once you have imported your recordings, you do not need to connect the
camcorder to view them.
Select all recordings that you want to import from the drive selected and click "Import" on the
bottom toolbar.
A prompt with various selection possibilities will open. To import the selected recordings,
select the "Import selected scenes option. You can choose to import all or only all new
recordings.
If necessary, enter a folder name or use the default name.
Click "OK" to confirm.
Depending on the number of recordings, it can take a while to copy

the files.
After importing the recordings are still stored on the camera they
are not deleted automatically after the import.

Selecting navigation view

There are different options for opening your imported recordings. In the libraries, you can
sort them by folder name or date.
Click on the folder icon

to sort by folder name.
Click on the calendar icon
. Folders for the different years appear. After doubleclicking on a folder a months view will show. Double-clicking on it will display the days
view of the corresponding month.
To open My Computer, click the
button. Here you can find all the drives
installed on your computer. For example, this allows you to access any recordings stored on
a CD-ROM.
Preview window
The preview window gives you various options for sorting and editing your recordings.
Shows all recordings according to their rating.
Shows all recordings that have not been imported
yet.
Here you can filter to display only pictures, only
videos or all recordings. The design of the selection
icon may be different depending on the settings.
Use the slider to adjust the preview image size.
Shows recordings only.
Shows the recordings with more information.
You can enter a keyword to search for here. Please
also note the chapter Viewing recordings on page

Creating an AVCHD Disk

AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) is an innovative
digital standard with high resolution and brilliant picture and sound
quality. This format allows you to record onto writeable DVD disks
and play back on suitable DVD players. It is a good addition to an
HDTV television set.
Not all players support playback from self-recorded AVCHD disks.
Insert a DVDR, DVDR DL, DVDRW or DVD-RAM disk into your DVD drive.
Click the Create AVCHD Disk icon
to open the disk compilation workspace.
Drag the video clips you want onto the timeline at the bottom of the window.
Click the "Next" button to start the process.
Select the drive and folder from your hard disk and click OK.
To use this function your computer must have a DVD drive capable
of writing one of the following media types: DVDR, DVDR DL,
DVDRW or DVD-RAM.

Cutting video clips

You can remove any unwanted sections from your video clips. From the video recordings
overview, click on the scissors icon
. The playback window appears for the recording
currently selected.
Navigate to the beginning of the scene that you want to cut. Then click
.
Navigate to the end of the scene that you wish to cut. Then click

Start cutting by clicking the confirmation icon
.
The section is cut and a new clip is created without the selection. The new clip will be
saved to the My Creations folder.
Upload to YouTube
Click on the YouTube upload icon .

Enter your username and password and then click Login.
Follow the YouTube on-screen instructions.
Upload to Facebook

Using the accessories

You can use the supplied accessories to mount your camcorder when practicing the most
different activities.
Water-resistant case
The water-resistant case allows using the camcorder under water or when practicing sports
activities related to water. You can operate the camcorder buttons as usual when it is
installed in the water-resistant case. Remove the lens cover from the water-resistant case
before recording. Insert the camcorder as follows into the water-resistant case:
Open the lock and then open the holding mechanism.
Open the water-resistant case and insert the camcorder into it.

Place one anti-mist pad each on the left and right between the camcorder
and the water-resistant case. This will prevent from mist forming on the
water-resistant case when using under water.
The anti-mist pads can be reused up to 4 times. You can dry out the antimist pads by placing them into a 150C hot oven for 5 minutes. When
not using them, store the anti-mist pads in an hermetically sealed
container.
Close the water-resistant case, the holding mechanism and the lock.
Please note the following when using the camcorder under water or
when practicing sports related to water.
Make sure that the water-resistant case shows no signs of damage.
Make sure that the holding mechanism of the water-resistant case is firmly closed and
that no dust or sand is found between the rubber seal and the case.
Make sure that the water-resistant back cover is being used the open back panel is
not water-resistant! To replace the back cover, please read the next chapter Replacing
the back cover.

Always carry out this check indoors, never at the beach or in the water.
The water-resistant case is water-resistant up to a depth of 60 m.
To guarantee its water-resistance, do not use the water-resistant case for longer than 60
minutes under water at a time.
Only use the water-resistant case in water of temperatures between 0C and 35C.
The water-resistance of the water-resistant case applies to salt and fresh water only. It
does not apply to any cleaners, chemicals, solvents or water in public swimming pools.
Liquids of this kind must be wiped off immediately.
Avoid excessive vibration or shaking under water. Otherwise there is a risk that the
water-resistant case opens.
Cleaning after using under water

Clean the water-resistant case after every time it is used under water.
Make sure that the water-resistant case shows no signs of damage.
After using the water-resistant case under water, clean it with tap water. To do this,
submerge in tap water for about 10 minutes to remove, for example salt residues.
Then use a soft cloth to dry the water-resistant case.
Place the water-resistant case in a cool, well-ventilated place to dry. Avoid any direct
sunlight.
Before opening the water-resistant case, wait until it has completely dried out. Have an
absorbent cloth ready when opening the water-resistant case and remove any water
and dirt.

Replacing the back cover

You can use the water-resistant case with two different back covers. Use the water-resistant
back cover when using the device under water or when practicing water-related sports. The
open back over may be used only if you want to record videos with audio. Please note that
the case is not water-resistant when the open cover is mounted.

To replace the back cover, proceed as follows:
Open the lock and then open the holding mechanism.

Open the water-resistant case and remove the back cover.
Next mount the desired back cover by inverting the above steps.
Removing / fixing the adapter

By default, an adapter is fixed to the water-resistant case and another adapter to the waterresistant back cover. These adapters allow mounting the water-resistant case and the other
accessories. If you need to mount the adapter on the open back cover, you can remove it
and fix it at the desired position. Proceed as follows:
Remove the desired adapter by untightening the four screws.

Next mount the adapter at the desired position by using the four screws. You can
mount the adapters on the water-resistant case as well as on the water-resistant and the
open back cover.
Velcro
You can use a Velcro to mount the water-resistant case on uneven surfaces, for example. The
camcorder is supplied with one Velcro with and one Velcro without latch. For instance, you
can mount the Velcro with latch as follows:
Pass the Velcro through the guiding slots of the adapter. Make sure to place the smooth
side of the Velcro inside. Then pass the Velcro through the latch and fix its end as
shown in the following figure:
If the Velcro with latch is not suitable for the current application, you can
also use the Velcro without latch.

Swivel holder
For instance, you can use the swivel holder together with an adhesive socket to fix the waterresistant case on an even or slightly curved surface. A flat and a curved adhesive socket are
supplied with the camcorder. Fix the swivel holder and the adhesive socket as follows with
the water-resistant case:
Insert the swivel holder into the adapter until the swivel holder clicks into place. Then
you can fix the swivel holder with an adhesive socket. To do this, insert the swivel
holder into the adhesive socket until the swivel holder clicks into place.
To fix the adhesive socket on a surface, remove the red film. Next stick the adhesive
socket onto the previously cleaned surface. The adhesive part can be reused several
times and thus can be removed from the mounting surface. Please cover the adhesive
part with the red film when not using the adhesive socket.
To orientate the camcorder, untighten the fixing screw on the swivel holder. Put the
swivel holder into the desired position and tighten the screw again.

Press the clip on the adhesive socket to remove the swivel holder from the adhesive
socket. You can leave the adhesive socket on the mounting location if you want to use
the camcorder at this location again.
Press the clip on the swivel holder to remove the swivel holder from the water-resistant
case.
To guarantee a good adhesive fixation, the cleaned mounting surface
must be free of dust, oil and grease.
Replacing the adhesive pad

The camcorder is supplied with three spare adhesive pads. If the adhesive strength of one
adhesive socket weakens, you can replace the adhesive pad. Proceed as follows:
Fully remove the adhesive pad from the adhesive socket.

Remove the white film from the adhesive pad. This is the side that will be permanently
fixed.
Next put the adhesive pad onto the adhesive socket.
To guarantee a good adhesive fixation, the cleaned mounting surface
must be free of dust, oil and grease.

Bike holder
You can use the bike holder to mount the water-resistant case on the bike frame or another
tube. To mount the bike holder, proceed as follows:
Open the holder by untightening the screws as far as necessary to be able to remove
the screw located on the side of the clip on the bottom piece.
Rotate the bottom piece aside.
Place the upper piece on a tube and replace the bottom piece.
Reinsert the screw into the bottom piece.
To fix the holder on the tube, tighten the screws.
Next you can fix the camcorder together with its water-resistant case and the swivel
holder on the bike holder. Please see the "Swivel holder" section on page 138.

Adapter for other mounting systems

The camcorder also includes an adapter for other mounting systems. You can use this
adapter to fix the camcorder with other mounting systems. You can connect this adapter to
the water-resistant case. Proceed as follows:
Slide the adapter for other mounting systems into the adapter of the water-resistant case
until it clicks into place. Then you can use other standard mounting systems.
Press the clip on the adapter for other mounting systems to remove the adapter for other
mounting systems from the water-resistant case.

You can solve most common problems yourself using the table below. If the problem persists
after checking the suggested solutions, please contact our Service Hotline (see page 145).

Maintenance
Repairs are required when the device or its housing has been damaged in any way, for
example, when liquids or objects have entered the product, when the product does not work
normally or when the product has been dropped. If smoke, unusual noises or smells are
noticed, power off the device immediately and remove the battery. If this occurs, the device
should no longer be used and should be inspected by an expert. All repairs must be carried
out by qualified service personnel.
Cleaning
Use a soft, lint-free cloth for cleaning.
Do not use any cleaners, detergents or solvents, as these may enter the housing and cause
permanent damage to the product.

Environmental regulations and disposal information

Devices marked with this symbol are subject to European Directive
2002/96/EC. All electrical and electronic devices must be disposed of
separately from household waste at official disposal centres.
Avoid damage to the environment and risks to your personal health by
disposing of the device properly. For further information about proper
disposal, contact your local government, disposal bodies or the shop
where you bought the device.
Dispose of all packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner.
Cardboard packaging can be taken to paper recycling containers or public collection points

This device is sold with three years warranty from the date of purchase. In the event of
product defects, you have legal rights towards the seller. These statutory rights are not
restricted by our warranty as described below.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period commences upon the date of purchase. Please keep the original receipt
in a safe place as it is required as proof of purchase. If any material or manufacturing faults
occur within three years of purchase of this product, we will repair or replace the product
free of charge as we deem appropriate.
Warranty period and legal warranty rights
The warranty period is not extended in the event of a warranty claim. This also applies to
replaced and repaired parts. Any damage or defects discovered upon purchase must be

warranty period will be subject to charge.
Scope of warranty
The device was carefully manufactured in compliance with stringent quality guidelines and

Akku
Legen Sie den Akku stets polrichtig ein. Die Polung ist auf dem Akku und im Akkufach
gekennzeichnet. Werfen Sie einen Akku unter keinen Umstnden ins Feuer. Entnehmen Sie
den Akku, wenn Sie den Camcorder ber einen lngeren Zeitraum nicht verwenden. Bei
unsachgemem Gebrauch besteht Explosions- und Auslaufgefahr.
Akkus drfen nicht geffnet oder verformt werden, da auslaufende Chemikalien

Achtung Explosionsgefahr
Bei unsachgemem Gebrauch besteht Explosions- und Auslaufgefahr. Tauschen Sie den
Akku niemals in einer potentiell explosionsgefhrdeten Umgebung aus. Whrend des
Einsetzens oder Entfernens des Akkus kann es zu einem Funkenschlag kommen und eine
Explosion verursacht werden. Beachten Sie die Nutzungseinschrnkungen bzw. verbote fr
akkubetriebene Gerte an Orten mit besonderer Gefahrenlage, wie z.B. Tankanlagen.
Explosionsgefhrdete Bereiche sind oft, aber nicht immer eindeutig ausgewiesen. Dazu
zhlen Tankbereiche wie z. B. unter Deck bei Booten, Kraftstoffberfhrungen oder
Kraftstoffaufbewahrungsbereiche. Auch Bereiche, in denen die Luft Chemikalien oder
Teilchen enthlt, wie z. B. Getreide, Staub oder Metallpulver, und alle anderen Bereiche, in

mssen bei einer Sammelstelle fr Altbatterien abgegeben werden.
Kabel
Fassen Sie alle Kabel immer am Stecker an und ziehen Sie nicht am Kabel selbst. Stellen Sie
keine Mbelstcke oder andere schweren Gegenstnde auf Kabel und achten Sie darauf,
dass diese nicht geknickt werden, insbesondere am Stecker und an den Anschlussbuchsen.
Machen Sie niemals einen Knoten in ein Kabel und binden Sie es nicht mit anderen Kabeln
zusammen. Alle Kabel sollten so gelegt werden, dass niemand darauf tritt oder behindert
wird.

Wasserdichtheit
Der Camcorder selbst ist nicht wasserdicht. Er kann nur in Verbindung mit dem wasserdichten
Gehuse im Wasser verwendet werden. Das wasserdichte Gehuse ist bis zu 60 m Tiefe
wasserdicht. Verwenden Sie den Camcorder in Verbindung mit dem wasserdichten Gehuse
zur Gewhrleistung der Wasserdichtheit maximal 60 Minuten lang unter Wasser.
Die Eigenschaft der Wasserdichtheit des wasserdichten Gehuses bezieht sich nur auf Sund Salzwasser; sie gilt nicht bei Reinigungssubstanzen, Chemikalien oder Wasser aus
Badeanstalten etc. Derartige Flssigkeiten mssen umgehend vom wasserdichten Gehuse
abgewischt werden. Verwenden Sie das wasserdichte Gehuse nur bei Wassertemperaturen
im Bereich von 0C bis 35C. Vermeiden Sie bermige Erschtterungen und Vibrationen
unter Wasser. Es besteht die Mglichkeit, dass sich dadurch das wasserdichte Gehuse
ffnen kann. Hierdurch kann der Camcorder, sowie bereits gespeicherte Aufnahmen
beschdigt werden.

Vor der Inbetriebnahme

Einlegen/entnehmen einer Speicherkarte
Um Videos und Fotos zu speichern, sollte eine microSD-Speicherkarte eingelegt werden. Ist
keine microSD-Speicherkarte eingelegt, werden die Aufnahmen auf den internen Speicher
gespeichert. Da der interne Speicher recht klein ist, knnen nur wenige Aufnahmen
gespeichert werden. Legen Sie die mitgelieferte microSD-Speicherkarte ein, um mehrere
Aufnahmen speichern zu knnen. Gehen Sie dazu wie folgt vor:
Schalten Sie den Camcorder aus, bevor Sie eine Speicherkarte einlegen
oder entnehmen.
Schieben Sie die Speicherkarte mit den Kontakten nach vorne, Richtung Linse [5] zeigend,
in den microSD-Kartenslot [7], bis diese einrastet. Um die Speicherkarte wieder zu
entnehmen, drcken Sie leicht auf die Speicherkarte. Die Speicherkarte wird dadurch ein
kleines Stck hinaus geschoben, sodass Sie diese greifen und herausziehen knnen.
Verwenden Sie nur Speicherkarten der Speed Class 4 oder schneller.

Einlegen des Akkus

Legen Sie den Akku wie folgt in den Camcorder ein:
ffnen Sie das Akkufach [10], indem Sie auf die geriffelte Stelle der Akkufachabdeckung
drcken und diese in Pfeilrichtung ziehen, bis der geschlossene Pfeil auf der Akkufachabdeckung und der geffnete Pfeil auf dem Kameragehuse auf einer Hhe liegen.
Heben Sie jetzt die Akkufachabdeckung nach oben ab.
Legen Sie die Kontakte des Akkus an die Kontakte im Akkufach [10]. Achten Sie darauf,
dass die Kontaktbezeichnungen + und - auf dem Akku und im Akkufach [10] bereinstimmen. Legen Sie den Akku nun vollstndig ins Akkufach [10]. Achten Sie darauf, dass
das Ende des Bandes ber dem Akku liegt.

Schlieen Sie das Akkufach [10], indem Sie die Akkufachabdeckung auf das Akkufach
[10] legen und die Akkufachabdeckung in Pfeilrichtung schieben, bis diese fest einrastet
und der geschlossene Pfeil auf der Akkufachabdeckung mit dem geschlossenen Pfeil auf
dem Kameragehuse auf einer Hhe liegt.
Wenn Sie den Akku entnehmen mchten, ffnen Sie das Akkufach [10]

Aufladen des Akkus

Der Akku des Camcorders kann ber den USB Anschluss eines Computers aufgeladen
werden. Verwenden Sie dazu das mitgelieferte USB-Kabel.
Legen Sie den Akku wie zuvor beschrieben in den Camcorder.
Verbinden Sie den Camcorder mit Hilfe des USB-Kabels mit einem USB-Anschluss Ihres
Computers. Stecken Sie dazu den kleinen Stecker des mitgelieferten USB-Kabels in den USB/Ladeanschluss [13] des Camcorders und den groen Stecker in einen USB-Anschluss Ihres
Computers.
Der Camcorder kann whrend des Ladevorgangs ausgeschaltet werden. Drcken Sie die
Ein-/Aus-/Modus-Taste [2] drei Sekunden, um den Camcorder auszuschalten.
Die Status-LED [6] blinkt whrend des Ladevorgangs orange. Wenn der Ladevorgang
abgeschlossen ist, erlischt die Status-LED [6].
Manche Computer schalten die Spannungsversorgung der USBAnschlsse ab, wenn sie ausgeschaltet sind. Sollte der Camcorder nicht
geladen werden, stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihr Computer eingeschaltet ist.

Zustzlich zu den zuvor beschriebenen Mglichkeiten knnen Sie an den
Camcorder ein externes USB-Netzteil (nicht im Lieferumfang enthalten)
anschlieen und damit den Camcorder laden. Verwenden Sie hierzu das
mitgelieferte USB-Kabel. Ein geeignetes 5V USB-Netzteil mit mindestens
1A knnen Sie bei einem Elektrofachmarkt erwerben.
Bei Verwendung eines externen Netzteils muss dieses an einer leicht
erreichbaren Steckdose betrieben werden, um es in einer Gefahrensituation schnell ausstecken zu knnen.
Datum/Uhrzeit einstellen
Stellen Sie das Datum und die Uhrzeit wie folgt ein:
Drcken Sie die Ein-/Aus-/Modus-Taste [2] mindestens 3 Sekunden, um den Camcorder

einzuschalten. Der Camcorder startet automatisch im Videomodus.
Um zum Men zu gelangen, drcken Sie die Ein-/Aus-/Modus-Taste [2] fnfmal.
Sollte sich das Display im abgedunkelten Energiesparmodus befinden,

drcken Sie einmal die Ein-/Aus-/Modus-Taste [2], um in den aktiven
Modus zu schalten.
Drcken Sie die Aufnahme-Taste [9], um das Men zu ffnen. Es wird Ihnen nun das

und Fotos aufnehmen.
Die Fernbedienung und Verbrauchsmaterial wie z.B. Klebepads knnen
Sie ber unsere Service-Hotline oder per E-Mail bestellen (siehe Seite

Um die Fernbedienung mit dem Camcorder zu verbinden, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
Drcken Sie die Ein-/Aus-/Modus-Taste [2] mehrfach, bis das BINDING Men markiert
ist. Drcken Sie die Aufnahme-Taste [9], um das BINDING Men zu ffnen.
Der Camcorder startet nun fr ca. 30 Sekunden die Fernbedienungssuche und zeigt dies

Nun knnen Sie den Camcorder mit der Fernbedienung steuern. Drcken Sie die Taste
[Kreissymbol] der Fernbedienung, um Videoaufnahmen zu starten bzw. zu stoppen. Drcken
Sie auf die Taste [Kamerasymbol] der Fernbedienung, um ein Foto aufzunehmen. Die
Fernbedienung knnen Sie bei Ihren Aktivitten bequem, wie eine Armbanduhr, um das
Handgelenk tragen.
Um die Fotoaufnahme ber die Fernbedienung zu steuern, knnen Sie
den Camcorder zuvor auf den gewnschten Modus (Foto-, Serienbild-,
Zeitraffermodus bzw. Selbstauslser) stellen. Im Zeitraffermodus kann
ber die Fernbedienung jedoch nur ein Foto aufgenommen werden.
Stellen Sie den Camcorder auf den Videomodus, um ber die
Fernbedienung Videos aufzunehmen. Im Videomodus knnen ber die
Fernbedienung durch Drcken der Taste [Kamerasymbol] zustzlich auch
Fotos aufgenommen werden.
Die Fernbedienung ist bis zu 60 m Tiefe wasserdicht. Verwenden Sie die Fernbedienung zur
Gewhrleistung der Wasserdichtheit maximal 60 Minuten lang unter Wasser.
Die Eigenschaft der Wasserdichtheit bezieht sich nur auf S- und Salzwasser; sie gilt nicht
bei Reinigungssubstanzen, Chemikalien oder Wasser aus Badeanstalten etc. Derartige
Flssigkeiten mssen umgehend von der Fernbedienung abgewischt werden. Verwenden Sie
die Fernbedienung nur bei Wassertemperaturen im Bereich von 0C bis 35C.

Mikrofon anschlieen
Fr optimale Tonaufnahmen knnen Sie ein externes Mikrofon an den Mikrofonanschluss
[14] des Camcorders anschlieen. Das interne Mikrofon des Camcorders wird beim
Anschlieen eines externen Mikrofons automatisch deaktiviert.
Aufnahmen ber ein Fernsehgert ansehen

Aufnahmen knnen auf einem Fernsehgert angesehen werden. Ihr Fernsehgert muss dazu
ber einen HDMI-Anschluss verfgen.
Verbinden Sie den Camcorder mit Hilfe des HDMI-Kabels mit einem HDMI-Anschluss Ihres
Fernsehgerts. Stecken Sie dazu den kleinen Stecker des mitgelieferten HDMI-Kabels in den
HDMI-Ausgang [8] des Camcorders und den groen Stecker in einem HDMI-Anschluss Ihres
Fernsehgerts.
Schalten Sie Ihr Fernsehgert ein und whlen Sie den HDMI Eingang aus, an dem Sie zuvor
den Camcorder angeschlossen haben. Drcken Sie nun die Ein-/Aus-/Modus-Taste [2]
mindestens drei Sekunden, um den Camcorder einzuschalten. Der Camcorder startet nun, im

Drcken Sie nun die Ein-/Aus-/Modus-Taste [2], um die Aufnahmen in der groen Ansicht
durchzuschalten. Mit der Aufnahme-Taste [9] knnen Sie die Wiedergabe eines Videos
starten. Drcken Sie die Aufnahme-Taste [9] whrend der Videowiedergabe bzw. whrend

Es gibt zwei Mglichkeiten, die Aufnahmen des Camcorders auf einen Computer zu
kopieren.
Durch Anschlieen des Camcorders an einen Computer mit Hilfe des USB-Kabels.
Durch Einlegen der Speicherkarte in ein Speicherkartenlesegert.
Vorsicht beim Umbenennen der Verzeichnisse und Dateien. Verndern

Andernfalls knnen die darauf enthaltenen Dateien unter Umstnden
nicht mehr mit dem Camcorder gelesen werden.
Wenn die Dateien oder Verzeichnisse auf den Computer kopiert sind,
knnen diese selbstverstndlich umbenannt oder bearbeitet werden.
Camcorder mit einem Computer verbinden
Verbinden Sie den Camcorder mit Hilfe des USB-Kabels mit einem USB-Anschluss Ihres
Computers. Stecken Sie dazu den kleinen Stecker des mitgelieferten USB-Kabels in den USB/Ladeanschluss [13] des Camcorders und den groen Stecker in einen USB-Anschluss Ihres
Computers. Schalten Sie den Camcorder ein, falls er ausgeschaltet ist. Der Computer richtet
nun einen Wechseldatentrger ein, ber den Sie Zugriff auf die Aufnahmen haben.

Verwenden eines Kartenlesers

Wenn Ihr Computer mit einem Kartenlesegert fr microSD- bzw. SD-Speicherkarten
ausgerstet ist, knnen Sie die Speicherkarte auch direkt einlesen. Entnehmen Sie dazu die
Speicherkarte aus dem ausgeschalteten Camcorder.
Setzen Sie die microSD-Karte direkt in Ihrem microSD-Kartenleser bzw. in den SDKarten-Adapter.
Wenn Sie den SD-Karten-Adapter verwenden, schieben Sie diesen in den SDKartenleser des Computers (meist bezeichnet mit SD/MMC).
Der Computer fgt jetzt die Speicherkarte im Arbeitsplatz Ihres Computers unter dem
Laufwerksbuchstaben ein, unter dem das Kartenlesegert installiert ist.
ffnen Sie den Arbeitsplatz auf Ihrem Computer und fhren einen Doppelklick auf das
Laufwerk des Kartenlesegertes aus.
Innerhalb des Laufwerks sind alle Aufnahmen in einem Unterordner des Verzeichnisses
DCIM abgelegt.
Kopieren Sie jetzt Aufnahmen vom Camcorder in ein Verzeichnis Ihrer Wahl auf die
Festplatte des Computers.
Schreibschutz des SD-Karten-Adapters

Der SD-Karten-Adapter ist mit einem Schreibschutzschalter ausgestattet. Wenn der
Schreibschutz aktiviert ist (siehe rechte Abbildung unten), knnen Sie bestehende Videos und
Fotos nur ansehen, jedoch nicht lschen oder bearbeiten.

Verwenden Sie das USB-Kabel, um den Camcorder mit Ihrem Computer zu verbinden.
Schalten Sie den Camcorder dann ein.
Legen Sie die beigelegte CD-Rom in das CD- oder DVD-Laufwerk Ihres Computers ein.
Die CD startet automatisch. Folgen Sie den Anweisungen, um die Installation

Aufnahmen importieren
Um die Aufnahmen zu archivieren, knnen Sie die Importfunktion nutzen. Dabei werden die
Aufnahmen auf Ihren Computer kopiert. Wenn die Aufnahmen importiert sind, muss der
Camcorder nicht erneut angeschlossen werden, um die Aufnahmen zu betrachten.
Whlen Sie alle Aufnahmen aus, die Sie von dem ausgewhlten Laufwerk importieren
mchten und klicken dann auf Importieren in der Symbolleiste am unteren Fensterrand.
Es ffnet sich ein Abfragefenster mit verschiedenen Auswahlmglichkeiten. Um die
ausgewhlten Aufnahmen zu importieren, whlen Sie die Option Ausgewhlte Szenen
importieren. Sie knnen optional alle oder nur alle neuen Aufnahmen importieren.
Geben Sie bei Bedarf einen Ordnernamen ein oder belassen Sie den vorgeschlagenen
Namen.
Besttigen Sie den Vorgang mit OK.
Abhngig von der Anzahl der Aufnahmen kann das Kopieren

einige Zeit in Anspruch nehmen.
Auch nach dem Import sind die Aufnahmen weiterhin auf der
Kamera vorhanden, sie werden nicht automatisch gelscht.

Sie haben verschiedene Mglichkeiten, die importierten Aufnahmen aufzurufen. In den
Bibliotheken knnen Sie nach Ordnernamen oder Datum sortieren.

aufzeichnen und in geeigneten DVD-Playern wiedergeben. Es ist
eine gute Ergnzung zu einem HDTV-Fernsehgert.
Nicht alle Abspielgerte untersttzen die Wiedergabe von
selbsterstellten AVCHD-Disks.
Legen Sie eine DVDR, DVDR DL, DVDRW oder eine DVD-RAM Disk in Ihr DVDLaufwerk
Klicken Sie auf das Symbol AVCHD-Disk erstellen , um den Arbeitsbereich fr die

Das mitgelieferte Zubehr bietet Ihnen zahlreiche Mglichkeiten den Camcorder bei Ihren
Aktivitten zu befestigen.
Wasserdichtes Gehuse
Das wasserdichte Gehuse ermglicht die Verwendung des Camcorder zum Beispiel bei
Unterwasseraufnahmen oder beim Wassersport. Den Camcorder knnen Sie wie gewohnt
auch im wasserdichten Gehuse bedienen. Entfernen Sie vor der Aufnahme die
Linsenabdeckung vom wasserdichten Gehuse. Legen Sie den Camcorder wie folgt in das
wasserdichte Gehuse ein:
ffnen Sie die Verriegelung und danach den Verschluss.
ffnen Sie das wasserdichte Gehuse und legen Sie den Camcorder ein.

Legen Sie rechts und links zwischen Camcorder und wasserdichtem
Gehuse jeweils ein Antibeschlagpad. Dies verhindert, dass das
wasserdichte Gehuse zum Beispiel bei der Verwendung unter Wasser
beschlgt.
Die Antibeschlagpads sind bis zu 4-mal wiederverwendbar. Sie knnen
bereits verwendete Antibeschlagpads trocknen, indem Sie diese fr 5
Minuten bei 150 C in den Backofen legen. Bewahren Sie die Antibeschlagpads bei Nichtverwendung in einem luftdichten Behltnis auf.
Schlieen Sie das wasserdichte Gehuse, den Verschluss und dann die Verriegelung.
Bitte beachten Sie die folgenden Punkte, wenn Sie den Camcorder unter
Wasser oder beim Wassersport nutzen:
Stellen Sie sicher, dass das wasserdichte Gehuse keine Beschdigungen aufweist.
berprfen Sie, dass der Verschluss des wasserdichten Gehuses richtig verschlossen
ist und sich kein Schmutz oder Sand zwischen der Gummidichtung und dem Gehuse
befindet.

Fhren Sie die berprfung nur in geschlossenen Rumen und nicht direkt am Strand/
Wasser durch.
Das wasserdichte Gehuse ist bis zu 60 m Tiefe wasserdicht.
Verwenden Sie das wasserdichte Gehuse zur Gewhrleistung der Wasserdichtheit

maximal 60 Minuten lang unter Wasser.
Verwenden Sie das wasserdichte Gehuse nur bei Wassertemperaturen im Bereich von
0C bis 35C.
Die Eigenschaft der Wasserdichtheit des wasserdichten Gehuses bezieht sich nur auf
S- und Salzwasser; sie gilt nicht bei Reinigungssubstanzen, Chemikalien oder Wasser
aus Badeanstalten etc. Derartige Flssigkeiten mssen umgehend abgewischt werden.
Vermeiden Sie bermige Erschtterungen und Vibrationen unter Wasser. Es besteht

die Mglichkeit, dass sich dadurch das wasserdichte Gehuse ffnet.
Reinigung nach Unterwasserbetrieb

Das wasserdichte Gehuse muss nach jedem Unterwassereinsatz gereinigt werden.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass das wasserdichte Gehuse keine
Beschdigungen aufweist.
Nach der Verwendung unter Wasser, reinigen Sie das wasserdichte Gehuse mit
Leitungswasser. Tauchen Sie das wasserdichte Gehuse dazu max. 10 Minuten lang in
Leitungswasser, um z.B. Salzrckstnde zu entfernen.
Trocknen Sie das wasserdichte Gehuse mit einem weichen Tuch.
Lassen Sie das wasserdichte Gehuse an einem gut belfteten, khlen Ort trocknen.
Vermeiden Sie direkte Sonneneinstrahlung.
Warten Sie vor dem ffnen des wasserdichten Gehuses unbedingt, bis es vollstndig
getrocknet ist. Halten Sie beim ffnen des wasserdichten Gehuses ein saugfhiges
Tuch bereit und entfernen Sie damit Wasser und Schmutz.

Rckwand austauschen
Sie knnen das wasserdichte Gehuse mit zwei verschiedenen Rckwnden verwenden.
Verwenden Sie die wasserdichte Rckwand, wenn Sie das Gert unter Wasser bzw. beim
Wassersport einsetzen mchten. Die offene Rckwand kann verwendet werden, wenn
Videos mit Ton aufgenommen werden sollen. Bitte beachten Sie jedoch, dass das Gehuse
mit der offenen Rckwand nicht wasserdicht ist!

Im Auslieferungszustand ist ein Adapter an das wasserdichte Gehuse und ein weiterer
Adapter an der wasserdichten Rckwand befestigt. Diese Adapter ermglichen die
Befestigung des wasserdichten Gehuses in Verbindung mit dem weiteren Zubehr.
Bentigen Sie den Adapter an der offenen Rckwand, knnen Sie die Adapter lsen und an
der gewnschten Position befestigen. Gehen Sie dazu wie folgt vor:
Entfernen Sie den gewnschten Adapter, indem Sie die vier Schrauben lsen.

Befestigen Sie den Adapter nun an der gewnschten Stelle mit den vier Schrauben. Die
Adapter knnen am wasserdichten Gehuse, an der wasserdichten und an der offenen
Rckwand befestigt werden.
Klettband
Verwenden Sie ein Klettband, um das wasserdichte Gehuse zum Beispiel an
unregelmigen Flchen anzubringen. Dem Camcorder liegt je ein Klettband mit und ohne
Lasche bei. Befestigen Sie zum Beispiel das Klettband mit Lasche wie folgt:
Ziehen Sie das Klettband durch die Fhrungsschlitze des Adapters. Achten Sie darauf,
dass die glatte Seite des Klettbands innen liegt. Fhren Sie dann das Klettband durch
die Lasche und befestigen Sie das Ende des Klettbandes, wie in der folgenden
Abbildung gezeigt:
Eignet sich das Klettband mit Lasche nicht zur Befestigung, knnen Sie
alternativ auch das Klettband ohne Lasche verwenden.

Schwenkhalterung
Verwenden Sie die Schwenkhalterung zum Beispiel zusammen mit einem Klebesockel, um
das wasserdichte Gehuse an ebene oder leicht gebogene Flchen anzubringen. Dem
Camcorder liegen ein flacher und ein gebogener Klebesockel bei. Befestigen Sie die
Schwenkhalterung und den Klebesockel wie folgt mit dem wasserdichten Gehuse:
Schieben Sie die Schwenkhalterung in den Adapter, bis die Schwenkhalterung

einrastet. Nun knnen Sie die Schwenkhalterung mit einem Klebesockel befestigen.
Schieben Sie dazu die Schwenkhalterung in den Klebesockel, bis die
Schwenkhalterung einrastet.
Um den Klebesockel am Montageort zu befestigen, entfernen Sie die rote Folie. Kleben
Sie nun den Klebesockel auf die zuvor gesuberte Oberflche. Die Klebeflche ist
mehrfach verwendbar und kann wieder vom Montageort abgezogen werden. Decken
Sie die Klebeflche wieder mit der roten Folie ab, wenn Sie den Klebesockel nicht
verwenden.

Um den Camcorder auszurichten, lsen Sie die Feststellschraube an der
Schwenkhalterung. Stellen Sie nun die Schwenkhalterung in die gewnschte Position
und drehen Sie die Feststellschraube wieder fest.
Drcken Sie die Klammer am Klebesockel, um die Schwenkhalterung vom Klebesockel
abziehen zu knnen. Den Klebesockel knnen Sie direkt am Montageort belassen,
wenn Sie den Camcorder zum Beispiel wiederholt an diesen Montageort betreiben
wollen.
Drcken Sie die Klammer an der Schwenkhalterung, um die Schwenkhalterung vom
wasserdichten Gehuse abziehen zu knnen.
Um ein optimales Klebeergebnis zu erzielen, muss die gesuberte
Montageflche staubfrei, sowie l- und fettfrei sein.
Klebepad austauschen
Dem Camcorder liegen drei Ersatzklebepads bei. Sollte die Klebewirkung eines
Klebesockels nachlassen, knnen Sie das Klebepad austauschen. Gehen Sie dazu wie folgt
vor:
Entfernen Sie das Klebepad vollstndig vom Klebesockel.

Kleben Sie nun das Klebepad auf den Klebesockel.
Um ein optimales Klebeergebnis zu erzielen, muss die gesuberte
Montageflche staubfrei, sowie l- und fettfrei sein.

Fahrradhalterung
Verwenden Sie die Fahrradhalterung, um das wasserdichte Gehuse am Rahmen eines
Fahrrads oder einer anderen Stange zu befestigen. Befestigen Sie die Fahrradhalterung wie
folgt:
ffnen Sie die Halterung, indem Sie beide Schrauben soweit abschrauben, bis Sie die
Schraube an der Seite der Klammer vom Unterteil entfernen knnen.
Drehen Sie das Unterteil zur Seite.
Legen Sie das Oberteil um eine passende Stange und setzen Sie das Unterteil wieder
auf.
Setzen Sie nun wieder die Schraube in das Unterteil ein.
Befestigen Sie die Halterung an der Stange, indem Sie die Schrauben wieder anziehen.
Nun knnen Sie den Camcorder in Verbindung mit dem wasserdichten Gehuse und
der Schwenkhalterung an der Fahrradhalterung befestigen. Beachten Sie dazu die
Vorgehensweise im Kapitel Schwenkhalterung auf Seite 210.

Adapter fr andere Befestigungssysteme

Dem Camcorder liegt auch noch ein Adapter fr andere Befestigungssysteme bei. Diesen
Adapter knnen Sie verwenden, um den Camcorder mit anderen gngigen
Befestigungssystemen zu nutzen. Diesen Adapter knnen Sie mit dem wasserdichten
Gehuse verbinden. Gehen Sie dazu wie folgt vor:
Schieben Sie den Adapter fr andere Befestigungssysteme in den Adapter des

wasserdichten Gehuses, bis dieser einrastet. Nun knnen Sie andere gngige
Befestigungssysteme verwenden.
Drcken Sie die Klammer am Adapter fr andere Befestigungssysteme, um den Adapter
fr andere Befestigungssysteme vom wasserdichten Gehuse abziehen zu knnen.
Fehlerbehebung
Die meisten Fehler knnen Sie selbst anhand der folgenden Tabelle lsen. Falls ein Fehler
nach Durcharbeiten dieser Anstze fortbesteht, wenden Sie sich an unsere Service-Hotline
(siehe Seite 217). Fhren Sie keine eigenhndigen Reparaturarbeiten durch! Das Gehuse
des Camcorders darf niemals geffnet werden, es befinden sich keine zu wartenden Teile im
Inneren.

Wartung
Reparaturarbeiten sind erforderlich, wenn das Gert oder das Gehuse beschdigt wurde,
Flssigkeit oder Gegenstnde ins Innere des Gertes gelangt sind oder wenn es nicht
einwandfrei funktioniert oder heruntergefallen ist. Falls Sie Rauchentwicklung, ungewhnliche
Gerusche oder Gerche feststellen, muss das Gert sofort ausgeschaltet und der Akku
entnommen werden. In diesen Fllen darf das Gert nicht weiter verwendet werden, bevor
eine berprfung durch einen Fachmann durchgefhrt wurde. Lassen Sie alle
Reparaturarbeiten nur von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal durchfhren.
Reinigung
Verwenden Sie zur Reinigung ein weiches, trockenes Tuch.
Verwenden Sie keine Reinigungs- oder Lsungsmittel oder gar Verdnner, da sie in das
Gehuse gelangen und dauerhafte Schden verursachen knnen.
Beachten Sie auch die Hinweise zur Reinigung nach Unterwasserbetrieb
auf Seite 206.
Umwelthinweise und Entsorgungsangaben

Die mit diesem Symbol gekennzeichneten Gerte unterliegen der
europischen Richtlinie 2002/96/EC. Alle Elektro- und ElektronikAltgerte mssen getrennt vom Hausmll ber dafr staatlich
vorgesehene Stellen entsorgt werden.
Mit der ordnungsgemen Entsorgung des alten Gerts vermeiden Sie
Umweltschden und eine Gefhrdung Ihrer persnlichen Gesundheit.
Weitere Informationen zur vorschriftsgemen Entsorgung des alten
Gertes erhalten Sie bei der Stadtverwaltung, beim Entsorgungsamt oder
in dem Geschft, wo Sie das Gert erworben haben.

bei Altpapiersammlungen oder an ffentlichen Sammelpltzen zur Wiederverwertung
abgegeben werden. Folien und Kunststoffe des Lieferumfangs werden ber Ihr rtliches
Entsorgungsunternehmen eingesammelt und umweltgerecht entsorgt.
Denken Sie an den Umweltschutz. Verbrauchte Akkus gehren nicht in den Hausmll. Sie
mssen bei einer Sammelstelle fr Altbatterien abgegeben werden. Bitte beachten Sie, dass
Akkus nur im entladenen Zustand in die Sammelbehlter fr Gerte-Altbatterien gegeben
werden drfen, bzw. bei nicht vollstndig entladenen Akkus, Vorsorge gegen Kurzschlsse
getroffen werden muss.

gewissenhaft geprft. Die Garantieleistung gilt fr Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler. Diese
Garantie erstreckt sich nicht auf Produktteile, die normaler Abnutzung ausgesetzt sind und
daher als Verschleiteile angesehen werden knnen oder fr Beschdigungen an
zerbrechlichen Teilen, z. B. Schalter, Akkus oder die aus Glas gefertigt sind. Diese Garantie
verfllt, wenn das Produkt beschdigt, nicht sachgem benutzt oder gewartet wurde. Fr
eine sachgeme Benutzung des Produkts sind alle in der Bedienungsanleitung aufgefhrten
Anweisungen genau einzuhalten. Verwendungszwecke und Handlungen, von denen in der
Bedienungsanleitung abgeraten oder vor denen gewarnt wird, sind unbedingt zu vermeiden.
Das Produkt ist lediglich fr den privaten und nicht fr den gewerblichen Gebrauch bestimmt.
Bei missbruchlicher und unsachgemer Behandlung, Gewaltanwendung und bei
