The Claremont Chamber of Commerce will
be hosting the Annual Village Venture Street
Fair on Saturday, October 22, 2016. The
event will close streets commencing at 5:00
a.m. and reopening by 7:00 p.m. The event
will require the temporary closure of streets
within the Claremont Village area during the
event as indicated on the associated map.
The City has also determined that the proposed event is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) because it is
of short duration (less than one day and approximately 14 hours) and will not create
long-term physical impacts. In addition, Special Event Permits are specifically listed as an
exempt activity under Section 3.03 of the
Citys Local Guidelines for Implementing
CEQA (Listed Activity #49 Special Event
Permit). Therefore, no further environmental
review is necessary.
