AN ORDINANCE CREATING NINE (9) POSmONS - EIGHT (8)
MEDICAL OFFICER II, SIG 18 AND ONE (1) NURSE II, SIG 15 UNDER
THE CITY HEALm OFFICE

WHEREAS, in a letter dated July 30, 2015, the Honorable City Maym Jed Patrick E
Mabilog requested for the passage of the ordinance creating nine (9) positions~ eight (8) Medical
Officer II, SIG 18 and one (I) Nurse II, SIG 15 under the City Health Office;

WHEREAS, the main goal and objective of creating the positions is to be able to attain an
efficient, equitable, and quality health care in line with President Aquino's Kalusugan
Pangkalahatan Agenda in attaining health Related Millennium Development Goal Programs;
WHEREAS, the ideal physician population ratio could be attained which parallels in
attaining quality and efficient health care services;

Regulation Ordinance No. 2015-383. August 24. 2015

WHEREAS, Section 75 of Republic Act 7160 of the Local Government Code of 1991
states that:

"Every LGU shall design and implement its own organizational structure
and staffing pattern taking into consideration its service requirements and
financial capability, subject to the minimum standards and guidelines
prescribed by the Civil Service Commission."

WHEREAS, the funds for these newly created positions will be included in the proposed
2016 Performance Budget;
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Sangguniang Panlungsod of the City oflloilo,
that:
Section I. - Nine (9) positions - eight (8) Medical Officer II, S/G 18 and one (I) Nurse I~
S/G 15 under the City Health Office, is hereby created;
Section 2. - There is hereby appropriated the necessary funding fur the purpose.
Section 3. -This ordinance will take effect immediately upon approval.
ENACTED. August 24, 2015.
