Title: Factors that affects energy consumption

In the thesis work titled “Experimental Investigation on energy saving

potential in window type air conditioning system showed us, that we can save energy

potential in window type air conditioning .Lagbunan and razo found that the use of

the four parameters they induced shows great decrease of amount of electricity.

Technology is defined as the process by which human being fashion tools and

machines to change manipulate and control their environment (Compton’s

Encyclopedia, 1995). Technology forms lot, that people embrace .One of the new

technology is the air conditioning that is for cooling

Now days we are experiencing a phenomena called El Niño. The dams

lowered the level of waste because of hot weather we are experiencing. Rotating

brownout a day just to minimize the energy consumption. Most of the people here in

the Philippines used air conditioning system .Air conditioning system is one of the

most common electrical equipment that people use here in the phillipines .

One of the major problem of air conditioning is its high-energy

consumption .It consumes more electricity than any other appliance. Due to the high

cost of electricity it becomes a must for everyone to find way to lower energy

consumption. Meaning there are ways to lower the energy consumption. The

parameters affect the energy consumption. It can lower or higher your energy

consumption and saved.

Lagbunan and Razo discussed the different variables or operational

parameters in their book titled “Experimental Investigation on Energy saving

potential in window type air conditioning system. Lagbunan and Razo only illustrate
three parameters. There are saving device, change in thermostat setting use of

polarized refrigerant oil additive called Artikool and the condition of screen filter.

It’s talked about how the four parameters affect the energy consumption. The

Screen filter is necessary to maintain the air conditioning filters in their optimum

conditions just to maintain the perfect cooling. If the air-conditioning has poor filters

it will cause inflared electricity bills. Thus it is very necessary to get the cooling unit

regularly checked in order to clean all the dust particles.

Energy saving device helps minimize the electricity consumption by

stabilizing the power used and needed. This is done by supplying, electricity locally

at the load by using a specially designed capacitor. Energy saving devices is easy to

install, avoid additional switching arrangement save electricity.

Polarized Refrigerant Oil Additive called Artikool. Artikool are resistant to

friction which causes heat, wear and corrosion that can occur when a compressor

operates. Thus, it really saved energy because it can create damage to the air

conditioning when it will not added off.

Thus, it is necessary to check and use devices just to save energy consumption

and just to lower the current bill.
